Wiggly Staircase Trick in the Enhanced Client

I don't have the classic client installed currently and I've been trying to do the spiral staircase trick the way it is done in the CC but it doth protest against such wanton abuse of the house tool.
Is there a way to do it in the EC or am I basically just going to have to install the CC if I wish to build one?

Also, what is with the deleting stairs lag in the EC? So annoying.

Thanks!

Wow...

I pretty much use the EC almost exclusively now. I can't believe that I haven't customized a house in so long that I hadn't tried it in the EC. Mostly because one house is basically done (my House on a Hill) and my other house has a checkerboard Large Forge set up (so the forge appears to encircle a pillar). If I go into custimization mode, I'll have to re-place the forges, which I haven't felt like re-doing.

My friend has place a new house that she's waiting for me to customize. I'll have to try that on the EC. I'm not sure when I'll be able to customize it, but when I do, I'll try to post my findings.

The EC house tool seems to have a one or two bugs, the delete lag thing being one (or is it just me?) but it's otherwise usable. The tool in general could use an overhaul I think and perhaps a few extra features. Custom housing is probably my favourite thing in UO.
One thing I think they should do is just chop the long staircase up into four parts and make everyone's life easier. =P

By the way, House on a Hill? Is that the one on Chesapeake, Trammel that looks like a rocky hill with a little cottage on the top? Somewhere in northern Britannia I think is where I stumbled across it.

You can lock down chopped up add ons before you go into custom mode, and that will keep them from poofing. Gozas that are raised up at all will still go in the crate. Every new day that you customize your house you'll have to re-lock down the addons. I'm not positive this will work in the EC, but it does in the CC.

Ding, ding, ding! Yep! North of Vesper. Were you able to enter into the heart of the structure?

Making the stairs 4 separate pieces, at least as an option, would be outstanding.

The forges aren't necessarily chopped up. Meaning that if I axe them, then they will be deeded. They are just overlapped like a tic tac toe board. Does each separate piece need to be locked down or only the whole items? 4 large forges would make 16 squares worth of add-ons. 4 lock downs or 16?

It was a very nice design! You really do feel like you are making your way up a steep rocky hillside. If by heart, you mean into the insides of the hill itself, I didn't get inside.

hehe, I made a way for any character to make it into the heart of the hill, however, it's not very apparent.

I'm glad that you like it, at least what you saw of it!

I customized my house in the Classic Client, with 2 different L shape stair cases. I have noticed in the Enhanced Client, my char acts like she is walking down the stairs even though she is on the goza, and falls under it. Trying to cast a spell pops me back on top, but it is still annoying. Is anyone else experiencing this issue in the EC?

Edited to add- raising them 1 time seemed to do the trick but it is still annoying. The house had been designed that way for a couple of months, and I am sure it looks a little off now in Classic Client. The falling off thing had only been the past couple days.

I had never had that issue in the EC, and I play that 99% of the time. The first thing that I thought of was to raise/lower the goza, but then you stated that you did that. I've noticed that in the CC there are a couple different levels that Goza can be at and still work, however, I always set them at 5-10-15(max height) raisesfor each stair break.
