Why do Legendary Warrior types wiff from a foot away from their target?
Like we work ourselfs up and become Legendary in Sosaria then we fail hardcore 3/4's the time.

Like if Legolas in LOTR walked up to a orc and stood a foot away from him and missed about five or six time. That would make the movie kinda stupid and funny at the same time, sorta like alot of situation that happen in UO.

I think the "wiff" is taken a little too literally.

The opponent's combat skill is taken into account, with every "to hit" check.
With equal weapon skills on both sides, and no other bonuses, there is a 50% chance for either combatant to score a hit.
Although the representation is that you missed them completely (*swoosh*), the calculation implies that it's not so much you failing to hit them, but your opponent managing to avoid a damaging blow.
