just wierd, i have like 700 something umm member of normal stratics since 04, and before that was a premium member i have thousands...

iv noticed all our titles changed, posting history removed or lowered, anyone know whats up?

i dont care, just wierd as crap.

As far as I can tell this affects those who's user names were lost and postcounts re-set manually by Brekkee.
Since that part of the count is unrecorded and somewhat artificial the only way to put it back is the same way as then. Send me a pm with your approximate count as close as you remember and I'll work my way through them.

I lost a good bunch of posts, too. But i can live with it as long as it is not going to happen again.
No need for someone from the stratics staff to restore a few hundreds posts on the counter. They shurely find enough other things to work on. If anyone should remember me, it should not be for an incredible high posting counter. I usually follow an old rule: think before posting.

Mine got hit big time too. I just recently noticed it as I had been lurking for awhile. Mine was changed back in 'da big crash' also, but what I have now is lower than what it was then. Wow!
Thankfully, Petra is looking into it for me.

I don't care about my old post count, but I wish I could still read all those ideas den posts. We brainstormed UO to death with some great ideas. I liked my guildmates and my idea for archery arrows where the arrow could be poisoned or have fire on it, etc and I liked those ideas better than the serpent arrow we actually got. I do not really care about post count but I think it would be wonderfull to retrieve all of the older Stratics' posts as a hystorical record. It would be nice I think to go back and be able to read posts referring to Ultima Online in its infancy.

I really hope that Stratics is able to retrieve all of the old posts that were lost in the crash from when Stratics was created (what year was it, by the way ?).

I thought that even when hard drives fail, some techniques are available to pull out from them the stored data.

I mean, only in really very bad cases like they burned up in a fire or something like that retrieval of data would not be possible.

But I have no idea what Stratics' crash was about so I have no idea if the retrieval was at all possible.

Just saying it would be nice to have Stratics' complete posting history available from its birth.

If it was possible, for historical purposes I think it would be nice.

I meant the one of a few years ago from which a whole lot of the oldest posts went lost.

If so, that's a pity, it was a bit of history not just in regards of Stratics but also about the infancy of Ultima Online.
