Hello there!

I was exploring Blood Dungeon today and at some point Ive found a Balron paragon, took me a while to kill him but thats not the point.
He droped over 15k gold, paragon chest and some junk.
When I carved him (dont ask me why I did this) he droped 19 greater heal potions and 200 bandages.
So I thought "thats fantastic, lets find another one". And I found, killed him and he droped about 1,5k gold.

So... was that first paragon bugged or what?

sounds like he mightave killed someone and looted them and when you killed the balron you got what was looted from their corpse.

yes but doesn't explain why carving him up produced bandaids and potions.

there is ussaly a few minuet timer for the owner of said loot from being looted has a chance to recover their items, after that time the loot is droped into the full loot on the corpse.

I am assuming that the OP was using a Harvester's Blade - as that's the only thing that moves more than leather from teh corpse.

What I think what the Harvester Blade might be doing is moving ALL STACKS (other than gold) from the corpse to the user's pack. It would certainly be easier for the devs to code that way, instead of having separate cut/move lines of code for meat, leather, feathers, dragon's blood, fur, scales, etc.

If that is what occurred, than it would be logical it would also grab the looted stacks that might be on the target.

I used Butcher's War Cleaver.
And... I didnt know that mobs can ninja loot player corpses hehe. :) That would explain a lot :) Also Im using EC client and my bags are in grid view so maybe I just didnt see those potions and bandages until I carved body which could simply couse them to change slots in bag. If that makes any sense. :)

Whatever the mob looted from other players will be "instanced" for a couple of minutes so that the looted player can come back to claim it.

Once the corpse turn public, it will auto-close. When you re-open the corpse again, all instances will be combined.

I am guessing that you took a couple of minutes to loot the balron. And the corpse turned public just as you were cutting it (cutting it will close the corpse as well, so you might not realize it has turned public). That gave the impression that you'd just cut 15k gold from the corpse.

Makes sense?

That is a good possibility. The EC tries to help us keep backpacks organized by assigning a grid block to them. So if the original player had a lot in the pack, the loot the MOB took from him would have appeared lower in the grid than the 25 default display.

I didn't know there was a timer on getting other players loot from monsters. Is that a recent addition?

It's been in at least as long as instanced corpses. If I remember right, items looted from a player go into their individual instanced corpse and become visible to all when the corpse goes public.
