As we all know in factions we have a 3 day wait time to leave but wouldn't it make more sense if when we resigned it instantly removed us from the faction and moved us outside the faction stronghold. Then have a 3 day wait to join another faction?

You are still able to prevent faction hoppers while allowing people who really just want out of factions to be removed on the spot.

ok but you also have to wait 3 days to join the faction you just quit. 3 days to join ANY faction.

also 2 server cycles is probably better than 72 hours. that way you have to wait at least a full day to get back into a faction but you could do it within about 24 hours.

The reason they have the wait is because you should not be able to just simply join factions, then once you get overwhelmed, can simply go there and quit. Factions are not suppose to be easy.

It's not suppose to be a simple "guild war" type of play style.

Heck, chaos and order guilds back in the day had a 1-week timer to quit I believe.

My reasoning for Nay is the same. If there were not timer to quit, then as Viper said, people could join and then just quit for whatever reason right away. Whether it to be to get out of fighting overwhelming odds, or if you just stole a Sigil and then quit... Just a few reasons why removing the quit timer is a bad idea.

Removing the timer gives too many venues for abuse.
