Why isn't arms lore giving me the 5 pts of bonus to exc leather armor?

I've got 100 arms lore.

I've got 120 tailoring. Why am I still getting 35 resists when I make exceptional leather armor?

wish i had an answer, seems very odd though. my 120 tailor with gm lore gets 50 total resists on pieces. perhaps soulstone lore off and then back on? or set it to lower and drop .01 and then regain it?

Uh, isnt that the way its supposed to work. If you make it without Arms Lore you get 30 resists... you get 35 with arms lore. From what I have read its supposed to give you 5 bonus at GM. 30 + 5 = 35. Am I missing something?

I just tested, 30 with arms lore off, 35 with it on, according to Uoguide, thats how it should work.

No, my man I was missing something. I hadn't made this stuff in forever & I remembered incorrectly I just to always get 35 total resists. I was probably using another kind of leather. I can't even remember far enough back to when I wasn't using horned or barbed. Thanks for the info, and sorry to hear about that Harbinger...

You were probably using spined leather (+5 physical)

Regular tailor, no lore is 30.

Your tailor must be human (who gets a phantom 20 arms lore from Jack of All Trades), to be getting 31. That, or making studded leather (which is 16 base instead of 15).

Arms Lore adds up to 5 random resists (At GM) to the exceptional bonus on most shards, but 8 on Siege.

The only way someone would get 50 resists on a human or elf piece would be to be making barbed leather (not regular leather) pieces on Siege, with GM Arms Lore (15+15+8+12).

Thanks Basara - I'm over in the craftsman reading your excellent guide :)

I'm reassessing all the skills on my toons. Sadly, in the old days I Needed many toons, most get maybe 5mins a month now.
