Why I love Ultima's community and this world we game in....

I want to take this time to remind people just how awesome the Ultima community really is.

I regularly help out new and returning players with gold and items. I made a mistake of not restocking my bank with gold of which I gave out to other players. Just today my guild was champ hunting at Primeval when we were raided by COM reds. These folks put on a great fight and we were definitely on the losing side. Regardless, we all partook because it is simply fun. In the heat of things I ran out of insurance due to lack of bank funds. I did not realize this till moments later. However, not more than an hour after I logged out, I was notified members of the reds we were fighting were searching for me on general chat. I logged on and within moments was given all of my stuff back. Keep in mind everything I had on was worth several 100s of millions of gold. Some of these items did not even spawn anymore. The gratitude that was shown just reinforced my faith in the Ultima community. It was never in doubt before, but this act just solidified my love in helping other players in this game of ours. Thank you greatly and game on!

i've had some really nice experiances with the reds on Europa in the past. I think 9 times out of 10 my stuff was returned to me and a virtual handshake. Although othertimes there are some******** who like griefing. But nice to see that the good nature is evident still in Europa!

Community overall on Europa is excellent. I think thats what made it all the more easy for me to decide to come back as news reporter.

On GL your items would have been put up for auction and the red guild would have berated you for being stupid in chat for at least 3 days.

I was on Europa once dropping junk bods and someone actually came up to me at the bank and politely asked if they could pick them up and if I needed them or not. I was floored.

No one on GL would ever ask - they would knock you over for a free set of tongs and a sewing kit.

It is true. One of the reason I think is that average population age on Europa is much higher than on other shards. I realized the other day that half the people in my guild were over 40 for instance. One could wonder why. Perhaps working age people in Europe have more time to play, or younger age people in Europe have less money to put in a paying game, or whatever...

I do the same.I do alot pvp and if i rest from pvp im at new haven bank and giving gold to young player or making them with my smith tailer char armor and wapons.So i have alot of fun on Atlantic.

Im a Swedish lady that keeps up the average age on Europa. But I must add that we have a whole bunch of adult players from the states who play here. Lovely social helpful people. Some have stated they think its interesting to meet people from other cultures and find us a bit exotic and yet English speaking. To me this culture blend adds alot to the shard and more Americans are welcome!

Over the years of playing on Europa I must agree the average age does seem to be around the 40 mark. However I am a 20 something and the majority of the people who have made UO awesome for me on Europa have all been 40 or above.
