Why hasn't my miner get any blackrock?

I have played my miner often, but for years I have never got any blackrock.

So my questions are:

1. Does blackrock spawn anywhere or only in some area? My miner only mines in three caves, never goes outside.

2. And he sets mining ore only. Should I set to mine both ore and stone?

I think its in the list for the randomly obtainable gems you can mine up. So if you are getting them you should be able to get blackrock.

Also is spawns in your pack, is tiny & black and dang hard to see. You may have a few pieces in there, so empty your pack and check it out. That would explain why the BRI cow chased you, oh wait that wasn't you, it was me

Also, I haven't been able to find a single piece in Malas.

I use UOA and defined a user defineable resource for the counter on the top of the screen so i don't have to go dizzy trying to read those messages as I frantically hit the F1 key to dig.

I have locked my mining skill at 98.9. (Can't get any higher due to the total cap.) But with the +5 mining gloves, mining skill is 103.9.

Can I get blackrock at the current skill level?

I believe there have been plenty of people that locked it at 95 and then wore the gloves. I can tell you i get far more gems with 105 than I do with 100.

My miner had GM mining when the blackrock started, and wears +5 gloves usually. I have mined many hours as part of my normal play routine in the last 2? years since the blackrock thing started and I have never dug up a single piece of blackrock, nor have I ever spawned a blackrock elemental (before they were turned off). I get gems with her regularly, though. I mine in caves, mountain walls in Felucca, in Malas, in Tokuno, in Ilshenar. Never any blackrock, not one piece.

They still spawn in t2a up the road from papua. Killed about 20 the other day. Weird how blackrock ellys don't drop blackrock.

Best way to get blackrock I found is to go to every miner hot spot in fel mark runes. Give book to your red and just start offing miners. Sure you will make many many enemies and people will start crying about you all the time but you will have loads of blackrock gems ore if yo uso choose to loot it. Maybe some armor and insurance money. Yesterday I rolled a few miners and the hacked up 7 peices of blackrock to me. Today I took it into glow got 7 cloaks and left.

Same here. My miner mines at least one hour a day and at least 4 days a week. And I have never got one single blackrock.

I only mine at caves in Trammel.

I got a piece yesterday and also one today. 100 mining, human in Tram. I get one very 5 - 10K ore I dig up.

Link to publish 50 notes, which indicate BREs were turned off for the Valentine's Day content at least. Not sure if when they turned off the purple bunnies and such a few weeks ago, if they turned the BREs back on - there is no mention of it here in the subsequent patch notes.

Well, if it requires ML, that isn't the problem, as I've had Mondain's legacy on all my accounts since it was released. I get gems just fine on my miner, not as much as elves because she is human, but a few per hour of mining usually. I suspect my miner just may have accidentally stumbled on some secret blackrock repellent formula when she was grinding out all those potion kegs as she is also an alchemist.
