Why doesn't target self work?

in the classic client and in the enhanced client i have tried to set a one key macro to cast gh and target self... it won't target me... I even tried the set cursor target to myself and that doesn't work either... I have UOA so its not a problem in the 2d but can't use UOA with the enhanced client.. am I doing something wrong?

Just keep it simple with the enhanced client . Just drag the spell icon in the hotbar and set it target to self and you are done.

The trick is to include a 'wait for target'. I dont know why, but it works. Your macro should contain: cast gh - wait for target - target self. Though it depends on the targetting mode you are using.

Also some of the targeting commands need the 'target system turned on', while most of us have turned it off be default as I personally hate those arches that appear around chars/monsters, for some spells/actions include in your macro on first and last line the macro choice 'turn targetting system on/off' that way it turns on for your macro to do what it need to do but doesnt clutter screen afterwards
