Why Doesn't Plant Pigment Auto Stack?

When making the different parts needed to make dyes, the plant pigment is the only thing that doesn't auto stack when making multiples. Why? Everything else will auto stack except for that. It gets to be a real pain when you're working with a large number since the wine that you need doesn't stack at all. I had to grab each one as it was made and stack them manually so I didn't run out of room in my pack.

Bump so someone "official" can see this today...

It's probably just an oversight. I'm actually impressed how much stuff now stacks, especially new content.

If you have UO:Assist you can auto-sort them into a container and they'll stack. If you use Enhanced Client you can quickly stack them in list mode, a little faster than UOA.

Thee ARE many new stackables that are great.:thumbsup::thumbsup: Perhaps the pigments will stack at some point in the future when the vanilla does ... as they are of same/similar bottlish design (the vanilla looks like a tan cat from behind :dunce:). Oooo and the cocoa butter maybe will stack like parrot food......

I think you're misunderstanding me. The pigment will stack if you do it manually, it just doesn't auto stack while you're crafting them like the rest of the stain ingredients do.

yea i hate that too

and what i never will understand is why the devs always bring new items without looking for stacking

i am not a programmer but stacking must be very difficult to code

oversight? com on .... you want to tell me that they create a new craftable without trying it out? they must have seen it 1 million times that it doesnt auto stack when playing around with it ... pfff ... even a blind would have seen it

If I'm doing quite a few of the same color I do how many I'm going to make on the crafting menu then I stack them as it goes. The nice thing about the make number on the crafting menus is it's not like UOA where you can't move items around, so it saves a little time if I drop them on a container as they're being made.

It's not really a workaround, just a time saver. I wish they would auto stack too.

That's what I was having to do too. I had almost 50 that I was trying to work with. It would be much easier if they'd stack so you're not chasing each one around in your pack so you can get it stacked.

Is this sarcasm or are you new to UO? This is not a troll, my english is such that I sometimes fail to see sarcasm in print.

Seeds do not auto stack. Probably other things dont.

Add pottery fragments and the fragments of paper to things that need to stack.

The difference is that none of those items are craftables. As a craftable item, one in which the other pieces needed to make the dyes do stack, the pigments should stack as they're crafted also. When you're working with 50 or so of each thing you're using to make dyes with, there isn't any room left in your pack for items that won't stack, so you have to manually stack them as they're made or you'll run out of room.
