This is a dexer swords char who as a human stood toe to toe with the generals during invasions but now as a gargolye cant beat a thing what gives ?

while i dont get what you dont get i will respond, my char as a huamn kicked ass now as a gargoyle with same stats sucks! in both cases using all 70s armor with like mods and a fast swords weapon with like mods

Some can be from Joat, but I noticed using a gargoyle the animation screws up me hitting things I think. I found them really weak and they would just stop attacking things. I don't really know why but that is what it seemed like.
You have a gargoyle with stat increases, 45 HCI/DCI and 100 DI?

do u get low in HP where he goes into "suicide" mode(gargs take a dci and resists penalty)? where u riding and armored swampy when u were human(for the damage absorption)?
Sadly gargoyles aren't so effective except for Imbuing... 
My tambourine wielding, cow bell banging garg is quite acceptable(bard).Sadly gargoyles aren't so effective except for Imbuing...
Even though I have yet to find or make an acceptable replacement for the arcane shield.

In PvP maybe, but not in PvM.
It's that hidden "Gargoyles Suck" skill... Yes, I know this wasn't helpful...

In the defense of the op's ambiguity. I changed a swords hume over to a gargoyle and felt the same way. If it is the JOAT, then maybe it poses a far to large of a disadvantage. But to stay on track basically this...
It seems as though for some reason that 110 swrds and tact on my human was the equivalent of 90-100 on my gargoyle. This went for the other skills as well. The gargoyle character just did not seem as effective with the same template. And yes I made the the resists and weapon functions as close as possible to the human equivalent.

I think there is something very special about those high plains bouras that no one has cottoned on to yet. Some day I'm going to spend some quality time farming them and try to get a good quality one to train up and experiment with.Did I mention that my garg imbuer is also a tamer...

Cause with humans JOAT you got ur specials with minimum special cost. Now your specials cost more so you do less damage and end up dead.
Would be my quess... Dunno ofc your template so maybe it did not effect your special cost.
Also human get 20 medit ja 20 focus so maybe you regen less mana also, again don't know your template.
Since no one questioned the "generals" statement here, Arnie, what generals are you talking about? Did you take a long break from the game, are these the Brit Invasion generals, the ophidian generals, or the NPC generals? Hopefully you didn't mean the NPC generals.

yes brit invasion generals but you can insert bad ass mob here () and results the same
as i stated all armor and weapons "like" mods and such. the JOAT help from focus and med not really an issue.
the issue is i cant hit crap for the life of me and they (say for example a easy to beat ronin) kills me so fast i cant get off a heal this should not be the case

That might also affect damage if he has no tactics and/or anatomy, as well as mana and stamina regeneration depending on med and focus. I think the difference that joat can make to a character's effectiveness is often not appreciated.

Not shure, but I would guess, you used a soulseeker during the invasion. It is almighty against repond-creatures and hardly can be replaced.
As for some of the other problems .... Racial gargoyle bonus for throwing could course problems. (Its only a guess!) There are often problems with throwing and carrying a shield. If you dont need to have a throwing weapon equipped to get the hci malus and wear a shield and dont have parry or only low parry it could course problems. (Similar to the joat-bushido bonus when ppl were using a shield and were wondering about too low parry rates.)

Yes i do read and nothing was stated about having it or not having it so i was asking a simple question how you managed to get it, but i suppose just saying i didnt have it is too simple really. Shame really im meant to read something that isnt there.

Eh, specials are next to worthless for PvM.
Yeah, most are. With specialized weapons I do so much damage with my Pali that I rarely use a special.
Depends on your play style, and whirlwind attack utterly rocks in spawns...
What are you talking about?
There are so many good specials for PvM!
Bleed and Mortal to keep the boss from regenerating
Armor Ignore works great on many mobs
Whirlwind rocks against spawns
Same goes for Lightning arrow
And these are just the most widely used. In certain situation other specials are quite handy too. Like Shadow strike for stealthers or Moving Shot for paragons without casting skills.

the reason people ask about your gear is because even the perfect template without the right mods on their suit, will not be successful. In case you did not notice, I will be the first to say this game is very item dependant. Inasfar as I have seen, gargoyles have gotten the very short end of the stick on gear. Since you are certain your suit has the same mods, you must be getting a bonus from JOAT. My suggestion would be to up your DCI. Lastly, the generals from the invasion really weren't that hard to hit, or survive against, they just had a bazillion HP's.
Not everyone plays a bushido-dexxer, who uses LS most of the time.

Armor ingore rocks in PvM, atleast against high end mobs which have high resists.
