Why do we not get snow this year??

Last year all Sosaria was covered by snow at this time and it looked beautiful. This year nothing....was there a climate change due to raising server temperatures in UO i missed?
I love snow....

I do too and I wish we got all the seasons.... but that's just me maybe.... it's not like they don't have the art for most of them.... Wouldn't be that hard to change the colors for the seasons and such.... but whatever...

Suppose it's because there are a ton of crybabies about the snow... I personally liked it. Honestly if you want my opinion I think we should have 4 seasons... each lasting a week... and rotating all the time.

I looked out my window a bit ago just before shower.... and I am seeing snow... would like to see it ingame once in awhile.


To me adding in some sort of weather factor like the change of seasons adds to the wonder and feel of the game... I would hate to be without my seasons... guess that's why I live in the north..

Funding for a snow machine has been slashed this year. Greater funds are needed for future white winters do to methane production from unused non GD pets overflowing the stables.

We are supposedly supposed to be getting under an inch today here in Chicago, we've only had snow twice so far this year here and the first time was on Halloween! I really do wish we had snow for Christmas...in real life AND in game...even though people complain about the lag and whatnot..it's Christmas! Even if you just turn it on until the end of the year that would be awesome...please?

As Malag has pointed out, and others likely have too and I just missed it, when there was snow, there were many complaints. While I can't say for sure that's why we weren't given it this year, it is an excellent bet.

I remember complaints, sometimes vicious ones, about such issues as rubber-banding, fouled recall spots, and lag, all of which were blamed on snow. I make no pretense at all to knowing how correct these complaints were. These complaints had nothing to do with how long it was there, it was the fact that it was there at all.

I'm in Connecticut and it was nearly 60 degrees on Christmas, I agree, global warming. But please leave the snow out, it's a headache and a half.

I remember complaints for length and lag issues ... either way your right complaints are complaints..

Still think this game should have a winter... but as of late this game is ran by complaints.. squeaky wheel i guess. Which IMO its like a bad manager I have at work.. put your damn foot down and stop listening so much.

Last year the problem was the snow didn't go away. It started in November and didn't go away until about halfway into the Summer if I remember right. It was like an ice age. Plus the lag issues, and everyone getting lost because all the landmarks looked different.

That's how it was irl here last year! I thought we were going to have snow year round! There were 3 full days of 30+ below zero weather that my car was buried under 4 feet of snow and I didn't bother digging it out because I thought...as least it's insulated! lol! So my UO winter matched my real life winter last year...and it's the same this year! 45 degrees on Christmas, no snow....:/

I remember when I lived in Maryland in the 50's one Christmas we were outside in short sleeves and it was warm. Over 30 years ago we moved to Florida and it does get cold here and has snowed a couple times. I like green stuff and warm in the winter.

Its regularly over 35 degrees celsius (95+ fahrenheit) here in Australia around this time of year, so it always felt odd when playing on Oceania in the snow whilst feeling like you're about to melt irl. The seasons should be different on all shards and aligned with the country that the shard is hosted in.
