Why do overcapped skills matter?

Overcapped Skills
If your pet was tamed with Overcapped Skills (over 100), make sure you enter them. Only enter the post-tame skills, not pre-tame. Overcapped skills are included in the intensity rating as they can significantly impact the training potential of a pet.

That's from the pet calculator. I noticed if i tame a pet that after taming has say, 106 wrestling, the intensity is quite a bit higher. Why is that and why does overcapping wrestling matter if you're just going to end up scrolling it to say 110 or 115 anyway? Is there some benefit even though you scrolled it? The calculator says overcapped skills significantly impact the training potential of a pet.

Each thing is worth points. So the intensity is determined by all points.

Also over 100 skill saves points when adding a scroll. So that pet will cost fewer points when adding a scroll. Fewer points is the impact. So it can have those points somewhere else.
