Why do I get this message?

"this area is temporarily unavailable for house placement"

This is not the same thing as "Houses can not be created in this area" for you smartarses. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

best guess: someone is doing 'resize' the area is protected for a period when you demolish to do that.

Or a house has recently idoced in that spot and the timer for placement isn't up yet.
