They aren't? Only reason Diablo beat me mage vs mage is I hadn't played a mage in pvp in over a year. As for anything else, its because of his template/gear/group hanging with him.

In the 12+++ years I have played UO I think it safe to say that I have far exceeded you in almost anything UO has to offer.

I only run a parry mage when I have multiple mages to run with. Otherwise I will run something whacky like scribe/necro mage.

Well if you've been "stickin n clickin" for 12 years and still haven't figured it out then I feel sorry for you. I can't imagine pee vee peeing the same ole crap day in and day out for 12 straight years, don't you grow tired of that crap? Add a new spin to your game and you will discover fun again you don't have to play the game for everyone else approval, play it for you, at least that's what I do and it works for me.
Try and get this through that greasy head of yours.... I play the game and i enjoy myself, I am a assassin so if you don't see me then that means I am playing my character properly. I am a serial killer, not a gladiator....I have deactivated all my gladiator chars so that I don't go down that same ole 12 year treadmill that you're going down right now. You didn't invent pvp, it didn't start with you and it won't end with you.

I find it funny that in every one of your posts you try to go deep inside of a puddle.
I will stipulate to the fact you’re an Assassin, just please admit you play that template because that is the only way you can get a kill, any kill for that matter. There is no shame in admitting this, trust me. I say in vent all the time I wish I could play a mage, I think they are the coolest template to play and by far the hardest. I just never took the time and now when I make an attempt I just die so I made the choice to be a good dexxer instead of a weak mage! It seems to me your in the same boat, we just hunt different game!
So stick with the little fish and I will stick with the bigger fish, k thxs!
PS, I do have a working knowledge of how HLD works, you might want to read up on it you’re self. You posted you have no trouble keeping a mage at 45 DCI, well you have zero control over it.

I chase off many oranges on my parry mage. I will say ive been playing primarily a mage for the last 5 years and i feel that i can throw dumps with the best of them. The only problem i have is finishing people because they all tend to run and its hard to catch somone when you have to pause to cast.

Well if you don't then exactly who does? if you have a chance at hitting him with your hld and lowering his dci then you do have control over it during your fight with that mage. No? How bout we just say you're right for the sake of not arguing? Will that work for you?
Ive said it 100 times and I'll say it again...imho focus attack is the most underestimated special in the game.
All hardline caps still apply with focus attack. All it does is double the percentage chance of a hitspell, hld, hla, or other weapon mod of going off with a successful hit, but you still have to hit them. Plus, even if you have a 100% chance of hitting HLD, if I'm at 70 dci then that HLD going off means absolutely nothing. Aside from hitspell chance, foucs attack does nothing for you that being at HCI and DI cap would not already do.

Get chased by krunk playa, he found a way to pause for another spell and still be able to catch you and cast on you again when you are in a full on sprint.

Contrary to what you may believe or in your case what you may have heard, you simply can't learn everything about this game by reading through stratics and copying the flavor of the month template. Explore a lil you'll be surprised.

You can run around with your parry mage and whatever lil theory in that small bump you call a brain and with whatever shield you like but I still like my chances with this.

Theoretically you may be correct but not totally.
