I've got a bow I made with a Heartwood runic and ash wood that I wanted to do a little adjusting on a couple of the mods. It's got:

HSL 34
Demon Slayer
Balanced
SSI 10
DI 53

I'm wanting to lower the DI and raise the SSI, but when I try to imbue it I'm getting the message "You can't imbue this item with any more Item properties". Well, I don't want to add more, I just want to swap intensities on a couple of mods, so why can't I?

fairly sure you can only add too or bump up current properties, I do not believe you can remove/lower properties

if its a bow made before the last changes then you cant if it was made after then you should be able to as long as the weighted intensity is under 450/500

Since all bows are two-handed, the intensities for the runic properties go higher than 100% of other weapons, in several categories. HCI and DCI, for example, IIRC.

but, most likely,

53% DI = 48% as a runic property, +5% from Arms Lore.

I noticed that on a few items. They just coded it that way. I would have developed the game differently, but would have gave a method to unravel more relics, unravel specific properties to zero to add another as well as move properties up or down. Why would they only let us move a property down to 1?

I think you should pretend it is a bug and submit it. It is at least an oversight in their development.

This weapon has already 6 properties including material properties.
Material property and its intensity is included in the limitation of imbuing.
Therefore, it can't be imbued with any more Item properties.

-Runic's Properties-
HSL 34%
Demon Slayer
Balanced
DI +53%
-Material Properties [ash]-
SSI +10%
Lower requirement -20%

I'll verify what Chrome said. Yes, it's stupid, but with 6+ properties you can't even touch the item.

didn't know it worked that way... is there a list somewhere of properties not related to imbuing, but would prevent you from changing intensities?

how about higher than normal resists on an item. do those count?

Well now that's just idiotic. Why in the hell would wood type even be considered in the equation?

.

Its not the wood type. Its the fact it has 6 properties. You omitted the lower requirements property in your rundown.

To add insult to injury......even with 6 properties it unraveled into 2 essence. That's pure crap.
