Why can't I stealth?

Heya

Just put 22.9 stealth on my char, put on shadow dancer leggings and cloak of silence, bringing the skill to 52.9. I took off all other clothing and have gm hide. I HIDE then try to walk and just reveal as if there was NO stealth there at all. I do not get the message about 'failing' to stealth, it is as if it isn't recognizing any stealth at all. I took off gm resist spells so there is plenty of 'room' to raise the skill and arrows are all turned up etc. Any ideas?

I believe you have to have 30.0 "real" stealth to auto stealth. try actively using stealth by pressing the blue dot beside the skill after you have hidden to see if you can do that.

it's actually 25.0 and that appears to be what is wrong, I just went and tested it a bit on TC.

Have you been in Black Thorns on that Toon latly, I know theres a Bug Issue there that can follow a Toon

ya, there is a min real amount that you need to be over before you can buff up with items or you will just keep failing the initial check.

Dang! Victim is correct on the real skill of 25 comment and using the blue dot until after 25!! I was going to answer saying that your char was not on Siege.
