Why can't I chain armor ignore non-stop?

We've seen video evidence of armor ignore being chained from beginning to end of a battle with an EV. Lynk has said this is a normal occurrence. I have yet to have a single battle where I chained AI from beginning to end. Have I chained 10, 20, maybe 30, yes but eventually I run out of mana and need to hit without specials to recover mana. This happens easily 5 - 10 times, sometimes more. Below are my specs, what's not right?

120 Swords, Tactics, Bushido, Anat
100 Lumber (I have tried switching to a broadsword with same result, adding parry in)
99 Necro
The rest in Chiv which I only use for sacred journey

My weapon is a hatchet
56 Mana leech - Max
50 HLD (+30 on M&S)
38 Stam leech
20 SSI (+5 on cape) total 25 SSI
Air ele slayer

My armor and jewels
100 DI
45 HCI
45 DCI
40 LMC
50 EP
30 HLD

138 HP / 190 Stam / 115 Mana

I'm hitting for 165 - 222 per AI

I'm swinging at 1.25 down to 120 stam which I rarely ever get down to. I'm using honor and reaching perfection. I have the 300 points required for mana reduction on specials. Soul charge on a shield helped very little. What gives?

As to me I don't see much difference between using AI 90% and 100% of time.

Due to ... very specific ... UO RNG (random number generator) realisation it's not unusual to fail 10 times in a row when you have 50% chance to fail.

If you want 100% AI try to move SSI from your weapon to your equipment to get 68% HML IIRC. 10% SSI jewels shoud worth a lot but as I see you can afford this.

I know it's trivial, I'm still dropping them either just under or over 3 minutes, but consider it a quest of mine.

Not sure what the problem is. I can't chain AI on my LJ sampire on GL, but my mana pool is pretty low, only like 70s.

No issues on Legends though.

The shield with soul charge really really helps.

I tried a 30 soul charge shield, it didn't seem to go off very often and it was hard to tell but I think I only got maybe 6 mana when it did go off? As soon as I drop down to 50 mana it's just a slippery slope right down to under 24.

My next project is to get 55 SSI and swing a longsword and see if that helps. I'm just looking for the right bracelet...

Well hitting often is a big key in leeching. Your not always going to get something from a hit and even then the amount varies so if your hitting fast your in better shape.
