Why are we getting less than 6 scrolls on a champ spawn?

Baracoon: 2 characters, no protection. We got 1 scroll each the first time.
Challenged the spawn again, Baracoon and we got 2 scrolls each.

Are we doing something wrong? I know the tamer logged out a couple of times to get pet back. Did this affect the drop rate?

Your pet must be green when champ dies, if not the pet itself can get scrolls and then "keeping" them.

If the above is what's happening tell your pet to "<pet's name> drop" and you should find a pile of loot at it's feet.

Ohhhh this makes absolute sense. I guess an "all kill" every now and then would save the frustration. Does the pet need to be green during the whole time he is battling the champ? If he happens to turn blue during the fight (for an extended period) he might also steal some scrolls right?

If the above is what's happening tell your pet to "<pet's name> drop" and you should find a pile of loot at it's feet.

I remember when you could tell your tamed pets to drop, and they would drop all their loot on the ground, but I don't think that command does anything now.

They removed the 'fetch' command I think

The drop command still works. You have to say "[pet name] drop". So it will only work on pets that don't have spaces in their names.

Tell it to guard you when your are fighting the champ, then it will stay green the whole time.
