[/ QUOTE ]See the other thread linked in this thread, but yes, it is EA actually applying the tax. In many states, yeah, the tax is due, but most states leave the payment of that tax up to their residents. EA is collecting it, which is fine, but if EA is OVER collecting it, that is NOT fine.
Trouble is, if it's anything like Illinois, it becomes your burden to get EA to do something about it, because the state won't do anything at all.
I will say though that so far, the processes I've been through, EA IS actually looking into it. I'll definitely post more in the other thread when there's more to tell.
