I started out spending days and days just murdering those people. I thought being a bad guy was going to get some kind of acknowledgement too. By the time I found out it wasn't it was going to be too much work to work it all back up the other way. Oh well.
Congrats to you though. I know what a GRIND it was to do that.

yeah I started out Arresting and paying off the protestors, AND killing here and there.. Then I realized I was shooting myself in the foot every time I killed one. And let me tell you, Britain's hand reaches far in the sense those punks can be SPREAD all over the place.. not to mention hiding on walls, up on rooftops..

This is the same with me. I am detested with all the cities. Too bad the "bad guy" doesn't get anything. First it was Bane and now this :(

Perhaps they should implement an NPC that gives a 1 time reprieve and just totally wipes away your negative loyalty accumulation for a small fee or something.

I want to keep my negative points with the cities. In an RP sense it works,being loyal to Bane and Queen Zhah. And in the game the npc's keep talking about fire and such,so I help them out with flamestrikes.

50 Mill for a title is ****ing ridiculous. Talk about a gold sink. How about they fix the real problem, duping and scripting, instead of implementing "gold sinks" that only dupers and scripters see any benefit/use out of.

Well, for your information I haven't "duped" or "scripted" a cent of the gold used to get that title.

Whilst I can afford a title I am still undecided whether to get one or not. One consideration for me is that I am still unsure what (if anything) happens to your title if your loyalty drops?. Does anyone know?. 50 mill is a hell of a lot for a title which might go 'poof'. Can you get it back if it does?.

A dev stated here a while back that the titles are forever and not dependent on town loyality once you get them.

Only Earl of Yew here... but I may not wear the title as it doesn't fit the virtue of humility, plus it's not very well integrated into the Overhead name, just being added on the end without punctuation. And 50m and a monstrous, still decaying grind? No, Citizen is enough for most of my characters who feel themselves at home in one of the cities then.

For those who roleplay, I can understand why they'd love it however, and I'm glad the option is there, although for me the utility just isn't enough at the time and cost asked... and I have serious doubts about the fairness of it being only for the anniversary; I imagine anyone can declare citizenship permanently, but it would have been nice to see some sort of city supporting scheme beyond September for those who come later but hope to really settle in the game somewhere. But not, needless to say, just leaving the grind we have in now!

It is my opinion that when a player that has worked up the town loyalty so that they hold a title of knight or above,the npc's they ride past should laud them according to their title.

Not me since I can't be "Duke of Newcastle" ..... I don't care. I mean I'd certainly buy my title of Duke of Newcastle if I could.... if they wanted the gold sink tie it to my freaking Banner.... but I see no reason to be the Duke or Duchess of a town I don't live in.

And like frell I'm working my way up to venerated in a town that again I don't live in.

My loyalty to Moonglow dropped from "Adored" to "Respected", but I'm still Viscount of Moonglow. AFAICT you can still turn the title on/off if your loyalty drops below the level required to buy it.

I am "Nick the King of Drachenfels", since I transferred my char to TC 1. Mwahahaa!

I got 2 Earl titles. I always wanted to be "Earendil III. Earl of Moonglow". Vanity is a sin, I know.

But you know what would be funny: If every NPC starts to laugh when a Earl, Duke or something like that passes him. Imagine the scene: Earl of Moonglow walking through the cities and all this giggling around...
