Who do we contact for incorrect account age?

Ok so I did my math. My first main account was created on Feb 14 but now it says it was Feb 15th. I know exactly when I created that account and got my valentine rose and logged in to a lizard spawn invasion in Brit, ran in a house and got killed by someones house pet, lol, never will forget that first day.

In caculating the age of my account, I noticed that the two free months they gave us in the begining towards vet rewards was now gone.

My second account was only 4 months behind the first main account, it should be showing 135 months but is listed at 127 months.

So how do we go about having someone check into this and find out about the missing two months towards the vet rewards?
Anyone else missing the two free months?

I've been missing the two free months for many years :\ I opened my account with a charter edition just two days after the release, but I too lost the two months somewhere along the way :(

What is bad now, there is no access to the old archives at this time and the UOGuide does not have it in their article.

Not to imply anything, but I was told by an ea rep once that if your account lapsed for any reason (cc expires, insufficient funds, banking error, ea error) that you lose that month towards account age. Doesn't matter if the account was only deactivated for an hour, you still lose the month.

The account age for vet rewards is for the amount of time your account has been active too. As an example, if your account was inactive for 3 months, those months do not count towards your account age for vet rewards.

Sometimes it takes a few days for all your characters and accounts show the right account age.

Just have to wait a little. :)

KB would imply that you were misinformed ...

that would be incorrect by the KB (partial)

You purchase a 90-day subscription, but cancel on the 25th day. You are only credited for the 25 days the account was active. If you re-activate and the account has been active for 6 days, it will then be a total of 31 days old and it will roll over and age one month.
annnnnd another example of EA not really answering a question without creating two more questions to clarify what's what.

What is >meant< by: cancel on the 25th day?
there >used to be< an option(1) when quitting ... to quit and play remaining(paid for) time
AND
an option(2) to not only cancel any "auto renewals" BUT also cancel the remaining time ON the account
(for anyone to login to the account >>>> money must be paid AGAIN)

GUESS which condition that quoted excerpt would apply to.
(CAUTION: math & logic >required<)

I have a 9 year, 8 year, 5 year, and less than 1 year old account.

Before our most-recent patch, my baby account was showing my age as 9 months, which I believe included the free 2 months.

Now it shows as 6 months. I sure had been looking forward to being able to use a commodity deed box in 3 months. . . .

:(

There is some helpful information on account ages and veteran rewards that is accessible via the UO Japan website. Unfortunately, it's all in Japanese and depending on the capabilities of the translator application you use, they can be a little difficult to read.

However, if you look at the announcement made this week on the UO Japan site talking about the resumption of house corruption and the return of veteran rewards (ƒjƒ…[ƒXÚ×), buried in the middle of it is a link to an article in the Japanese knowledgebase for UO that explains the delay in updating displayed account ages. The link for that article is: https://eaj.e-srvc.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1880. That article was last updated in April of this year and the Japanese team seems to be very on top of keeping game-related information up-to-date, so I believe it should be the most current information you can find on how things are working today.

Also, at the bottom of that article are additional links to other helpful knowledgebase articles on account ages, veteran rewards, why the vet reward gump sometimes doesn't show up, etc.

I use the translator service on the Google toolbar, but I think there are several other translators available. So if you want to get more information, you might want to add a translator service to your browser's set of tools and go explore the UO Japan website. In terms of being current and helpful, it is head and shoulders above the "official information" we have available to us right now on the uo.com web or origin.com websites. Whoever is maintaining the Japanese database actually seems to have kept track of commonly asked questions and tried to address them in the database and unlike the rest of us (including the wonderful staff at Stratics and the volunteers who post stuff on UOGuide), they actually have access to people who can accurately answer questions. I sure miss Jeremy and Kristi some days, and I'm sure many of you can remember earlier community people who gave a darn about the players and tried to respond to stuff like this.

Arrgh. Sorry for the mini-rant. Going to go get coffee and walk away for a bit.

I understand about how the age of an account starts and stops, with activation and de-activation. There is no way that I have had my second account down 8 months.

Plus here is another senerio of aging, the system runs on a 30 day cycle, but in a year you have 4 months that have an extra day in it. Lets just say you have never closed your account in 10 years, so...

10years x 4 extra days = 40 days
here you would have aquired an additional month (30)days to your accounts age, because really you did pay for it.

10 years = 120 months + 1 gained month + 2 free months given in begining of vet rewards = 123 months

I guess, after the migration is final, I will write the game master

heh!
math is correct, premise is wrong ...

EA states that they use a 30 day "month"
which means they have a 360 "day/year"

you are working with a 365 day/year ... and those "extra" days >would accumulate<
but
EA is >leaping< those days and remaining with only 360 ... no carry overs ... BECAUSE they are leapt over.

both "calendars" >synchronize< on the anniversary date ...
>Won't matter< how much you fumble around
ONLY gonna end up with 12 months per year ...

not so /simple
BUT
there it is. ipso facto non redacto. :danceb:
