White colors

I am kind of "black and white" when it comes to computer games

There used to be a trick to dye your hair white some time ago.
Since I like to RP my pure mages as the "good", white mage type, I was wondering, how I could obtain white clothing or dye my clothing white and maybe dye my hair white?

For white clothing just make cloth with a loom and make the item you want.

For white hair you need to go to the hairstylist NPC (found in alchemist shops) and buy yourself bald first and then buy the hair you want. Then you get white hair. It will cost you 2 X 50K to do that.

The trick use to be to have to hair change deeds. It did the exact same thing as what the hairstylist can do. First go to bald and then get new hair.

What about a hat?

For a 100% pure white char I'd need white hair (check) white robe and cloak (check and check if what you say works), white shoes
I have a pair of white sandals on Avalac'h but I have no idea where they came from.
Is there a way to make existing (leather) armor white? Or hats?

[/ QUOTE ]Yes you will need to use the original Tokuno dyes, but they are very expensive. You can find out more about the tokuno dyes at uoguide.com. I tried to make a link, but for some reason I'm not able to load the page right now.

OK thanks. Hat of the magi looks like a must have for my mage then

The pigments probably cost a fortune since they can't be obtained anymore, right?

[/ QUOTE ]Some colors can run as much as 500k for each use. White is one of those examples.

There are also "cursed" versions of the Hat and Staff of the Magi, available MUCH cheaper than the full versions. They are cursed in that they can't be blessed or insured. The Polar Bear Mask comes in 2 shades of white - a dingy one and a pure white one.

There is also the Ice white reward cloth (but one cannot make hats with runics, so you'd have to settle for just resists on your hat), and a type of white cloth that came from an unintended use for some quest material (the exploit's long been fixed), that is way more expensive than it is worth.

For jewelry, the "Alchemist's Bauble" is a white bracelet, that gives LRC and Magery skill bonuses, blus a nice "Enhance Potions" bonus.
