It's posted on the official blog by an EA employee account so unless EA have been hacked (and nobody noticed) I'd say it was likely to be genuine.

just take time to think about it all its really ez to hack a site so that could of happen and if it did i feel sry for the person but if its true its f*#$ed up lol and top it off i been thinkin bout doin my own game and fedrel laws with gaming u have to send out a email to confirm the closer of the game

Give them time, it's only been an hour or so since it was announced. They're probably too busy scouring job sites right now to worry about sending out an email.

Or partying that they finally got rid of us.

i called my uncle in michigan that is a lawyer of law and he said they are suppose to send out a email before they post it on any site then they have permission to post it 24hrs after the emails are sent out

I called my bff who has an uncle who is God and they said that basically due to how the user agreement is written out... EA can do pretty much whatever they want.

So...

thank god he is a lawyer of law. those other lawyers are useless.

Ok well I just got off the phone with the aunt of my sisters ex-boyfriend's cousin who met Johnny Cochran once in 1989 at a Kentucky Fried Chicken and she thinks you totally have a case. And she recommends the mashed potatos.
