Where to Get Mage Regs.

How are others getting such large amounts of Mage Regs? They cant be just traveling around picking up every reg that they see. Can some one tell me how I can get Bulk amount of Regs with out having to pay for them.

Others get them buy buying them. Usually it's a process of a couple of hours to get the vendors to sell thousands at a time, since they double every 20 minutes to half an hour (I'm not sure exactly) up to at least 640. I haven't gotten past that in my reagent buying outings yet.

Or you can pay the extra gold, save the time and buy 'em from player vendors.

My necromancer only gets reagents by killing lich lords and devourer of souls.

I suppose if you killed mage lords or juka mages for an eternity and a half, you could come up with a respectable amount of reagents, but it's so much easier and efficient just to buy them.

If you play on a shard that is into Factions, walk around the different banks in Fell. Some of them may have faction vendors. Look for the vendors that have them for sale for 2 and 3 gold pieces. You can build them up to 999 per buy and at 2 and 3 GP there the cheapest around. If your shard isn't into factions make a thief template and steal a sygle or to and put up your own faction vendors!

Why are you against paying for them? It doesn't exactly break the bank


If you can be bothered, create a T Hunter and then you will get between 50-100 of each reg per map... Although in the time it takes for you to set up a T Hunter and start gathering regs, you could probably have farmed enough gold to buy 100k of each reg...

Ive never done it my self but i think you can grove them as well. Isnt that right?
And isnt there some kind of statue that "makes" reagents?

Ya but it's quicker and easier (IMHO) to go to a mage shop and but them up.

Best thing to do is make a runebook containing all the mage shops. I have 2 books (every mage/scribe shop in tram and fel that I know of) for when I go out buying blank scrolls or need regs.

Like GFY said, hit all the towns in Fel looking for the faction vendors, they're usually close to the bank (if you're lucky.) There may be 5-10 reg vendors and you can buy them up over time to high stocks, so you can get a few thousand of each reg in a few minutes when they refresh. Before LRC, those factions vendors were camped but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore (though I haven't bought regs in a year or so.)
