Where does gold go from vendors that are cancled?

Howdy all,

I left UO for a while, but was periodically checking in. A little while back I came on, checked my vendors and saw one was still left. It had over 15m on it from a lot of sales of my better stuff I had done a while back. When I returned to UO a couple days ago, I discovered the owner of the house had since canceled my vendor (very understandable since I wasn't around, no fault goes to him), and the vendor was gone.

I've tried clicking on his house sign to see if my vendor's stuff (and more importantly, the gold) was stored there, but all I got was the browse vendor option. Is there a chance my gold is still accessible somewhere, or am I out all that glittery coinage?

When a vendor falls or is cancelled, you have a grace period to claim it's inventory/gold from the house sign. After that period ends, it goes into the moving crate and becomes property of the house owner.

Actually, I have it, but with the amount of time I've had to keep it in storage, it will cost you 15m in storage fees to reclaim your 15m. Just let me know when you'd like to come pick it up.


Seriously though, are you back in UO now, and if so, which shard?

I had a Luna vendor on the pacific shard i had to go out of town for a couple weeks and the owner canceled my vendor while i was gone, when I got back I was able to reclaim my vendor but a little over 20m was gone. I paged a GM and got that canned message blah.
