Where did the books go?

It seems as if all the books were destroyed by the snowfalls. I've found books still spawning on bookshelves in places like Jhelom which didn't suffer a winter, but all other bookshelves are stripped bare. What happened?

during invasion times all the thieving items are gone. Same goes for the barrels on brit castle walls during an invasion.

This was on Pacific. What did you find on your shard?
I checked a few places in Felucca. (I'm not very familiar with Trammel)

The Vesper Counselor's Hall now has four empty bookcases - and all of the 'player' books are gone, that had been there for years.

I rode to Trinsic, and checked the Inn, upstairs. All of the player-signed books that had been there since the real invasion are gone.

Went to West Britain, and looked into the small Library. Same thing.

In all of those places, history has been erased. New, empty books are spawning - but none are left from before. Not a single one. :-\

(This was on Sonoma - I haven't checked Siege yet)

Wow, after reading the original post here, I find the same situation on Chesapeake. But, my complete collections are safe in my library. Now I am very glad that I had an interest in all the books and scribing, years ago.

But to (wipe) the public libraries like that - big ouch!

Somebody please get "Inu the Crone" off the Island of Moonglow. I'm going crazy enough with the invasion...seeing [her] (every fricken day) is way past annoying.

And I'll blame her for ill fortune such as this. She brings no good to the world. Now it seems she is burning books. "Bad Girl - Down - Sit -Stay!"

I would go around and scribes books from our library collection into blank books. I wasn't very discerning, however. I think now I'll group the books into different categories: Common, Rare, Very Rare. Then I'll scribe the common ones more frequently and leave the Very Rare ones as unusual finds, perhaps utilizing them as RP event goals.
