When can i start training swors on a golem?

My swords and tactics is at 42. I tried the golem thing but did not see any gains. When can i start training on a golem?

I'll start off by saying you'd have alot more fun going around killing creatures than whacking on a Golem. All that being said, you need around 80 skill to be able to gain from a Golem. You may even see gains as low as 70 or 75.

Of course your skill doesn't have to be real, so at 42, if you find jewelry to get you up to 70 or 80, you should be able to gain off a Golem.
