What's your weirdest template?

Most of us know sampires and all sorts of standard builds. What is your weirdest build? One of mine is one super mage with spellweaving, mysticism, necro and a bit of magery... I don't even know what I wanted him to do.. other than be a lord of magic.. and focus on non-magery spells.

What weird builds have you created and for what purpose?

a thief/ninja/mage/necro/bard ….

Requires many + Skills items on your suit to make it possible. Quite possibly the most fun I’ve had with any character given the ability to survive post steal.

Here is a thread in the warrior forum that discusses a few:
Exciting alternative warrior builds - suggestions wanted | Stratics Community Forums

One of my templates - the "Zarpire", named after a player that made it popular in a few groups, is healing sampire that also has Spellweaving. Very defensive, alot of ways to stay alive. Also relies on using max speed Halberds for as much damage as possible. Very quirky but fun template!

Is my weird build potentially useful in any way? Or what would you do with this weird combo? Or a slight alteration of it?

In my experience, the problem with trying to combine all the spellcasting skill lines into one build - is that you end up becoming a jack of all trades but expert in none. You end up becoming overwhelmed by having too many spell options - and then you like end up using one or two spell lines far more than the others and end up with 200+ skill points becoming severely underutilized.... points that could be better spent in Meditation, Resist Spells, Wrestling, Alchemy, Poisoning, Inscription, etc.

I would suggest going instead with a Magery/Necro/Spellweaving or Magery/Mystic/Spellweaving build. This will free up to skill slots.

Right, I will probably drop the necro and put it on my monk, sampire wannabe..or something. I lost my keep and many soulstones and a lot of stuff.. currently don't have a single soulstone. :(

not saying its a excellent old school template for harassing people in dungeons.... but its really is a good template for harassing people in dungeons!

another one i run:
I wanted a character that could sit behind the main cluster of characters working a boss or event and help out, made what i think is a fantastic template for a support character.
Anatomy, Healing, Music, Peace, Med, Spirit Speak, Chiv.
120 in everything except Chiv which is 80.
the SS is so i can see dead people.
Med and SS are at 90 and get +30 from Ring/Bracelet.
Healing and Anatomy are at 110 and get +10 from the Mark of the Tavasty.
wearing the bandage belt for the +10% and also have the Asclepius for another +20% bandages.

i just park him behind and run the Peace Mastery and heal anyone in the guild that needs healing.
if EVERYONE dies i fall back and cast Noble Sacrifice to get everyone up in one shot.

It's not really "weird," but my pure Bard/Tamer is definitely a unique playstyle. 115 Taming / 111 Lore / 480 Bard Skills / 120 Magery / around 70 meditation. The Codex of Shadow's +40 skills makes this template much more viable than in the past.

What's "unique" about its playstyle is, instead of taking an active role in the fight, you're focusing on selecting the right pet, buffing, debuffing, healing, etc. It completely changes the nature of the game for me.

My weirdest template is retired, now. Before the changes to Treasure Hunting, I had a Chiv swords Treasure Hunter, capable of doing up to level 6 (now Hoard) maps as long as there weren't 3 or more dragon types spawning.
He had over 100 skill points from gear, and was 120 swords/110 Parry/100 Chivalry/106 Tactics/110 Anatomy/110 Healing/100 Cart/100 Lockpicking.

I still have a Chiv Macer blacksmith/miner, that does most of his mining in Ilshenar specifically to dig up and fight ore elementals from Gargoyle Pickaxes, especially looking for Paragons.
120 Smith/120 Macing/100 Parry/100 Anatomy/100 Tactics/100 Healing/105 Mining (with gloves)

My current mains are a Tamer T-Hunter (120 Taming/Lore/Vet, 100 Lockpicking, 100 Remove Trap, 100 Detect Hidden and 100+ Magery (most of the magery from equipment), and
a Tri-caster (Weaver/Mage/Mystic) that's 120 Spellweaving/Magery/Mysticism/Focus/Eval, either 120 fishing or 100 Inscription (depending on how I'm set up at the moment), and a smattering of Meditation (40 I think; 20 higher when using Inscription) and Resist Spells.
The caster's suit is 70/62/70/70/70 when in normal form, all 75s in stone form, even with the neck item being the Pendant of the Magi (which has no resists). I'm overcapped on FC, FCR, LMC, LRC, have 26-28 Mana regen, Int 150, around 100-130 SDI depending on spellbook, over 180 mana as a human, around 800 luck, and somewhere between 110-120 STR.

I may have to make a Chiv Macer Miner I like that idea. TY

Miner/Smiths that also have fighting skills used to be quite the popular build about 25 years ago! Probably my first template when I was still learning the game as kid.

I wouldn't say it's a weird build necessarily, but definitely an obsolete one for the production shards that have millions upon millions of ingots at this point. Might be more viable in New Legacy / Siege type of shards.
