What's Your Most Fun/Favorite Character?

Here are mine --
1. Mace Sampire (multi-mod bloodwood blackstaff for coolness factor, and I like soloing bosses via war axe)
2. T-Hunter; this is the character I usually go with when I don't feel like playing any other.
3. Necro/Mage/Poisoner (champ spawn char; 3x animates, 2x EV, poison fields, and wither); I'm sure there are more effective characters out there, but this one is fun.
4. Discord Tamer; this was my favorite character for a time but has been on the back burner. The most fun I've had is discord + 5 hellhounds against white wyrms. Not very fair, but fun.
5. PvP Nox mage; I haven't played this guy in ages. Likely to move up the chain if I get into pvp, though.
6. Crafter - This guy gets a lot of use but is not a fun character to play. I don't enjoy BODs and can't say I enjoy crafting/resource gathering/imbuing.

On many shards I have a streaker who runs nekkid throughout the lands, talking to people he meets and looking at what people are doing and where they are doing it. It's the same basic character on every shard, and I've been PKed on every shard, something which I'm quite proud of.

Resists: 70/70/67/70/70 (or is the 67 in poison), even if protection cast without inscription. This is even with the neck item being a Pendant of the Magi with no resists.
Scrappers is water elemental slayer - I CAN ONE-SHOT A WATER ELE WITH MAGIC ARROW. Just for giggles, I went to Ilshenar and one-shotted a PARAGON water ele with chain lightning! In other words, my fisher isn't afraid to sail into Moonglow.

All of them. They all very different and can use one character better in one situation then another.

If i go to events i almost always use my pure warrior with the Virtues. The virtues help me with resurrecting other and i can self rez 3 times too.
And Frarc is the news reporter so he carry a camera hidden in his armor!


To attack Merchant ships i use my Provoker/Mage.

When i go in group events like a white net too i take my discorder.

For Doom events i usually take my Mystic/thrower.

And if i want to make a lot of gold fast i usually take my tamer.

There is a different character for everything and depending what it is or i go alone or with friends.


All my characters have there own background and i always play them that they won't go against there rules.
Frarc follows the Virtues and you won't see him do anything bad.
Dark Angel is a Daemon and i will never use her to fight daemons or Balrons.
Seoman my fisherman act very grumpy if you don't call him Captain Seoman and he is always drinking.

And so on.


My characters are all fun to play. I made them that way.

Yea he's gimp, but he's a pain to catch and harder to kill...and when I'm in the mood he provides friends of mine an almost unlimited supply of scrolls. At last count I'd donated around 300 110 scrolls for handing out to newer characters in the Alliance I roll with so they can keep building skill until they can obtain a 120, if they only knew how many I turned in for spring cleaning last time they'd cry.

Back in the early days, my favorites as far as skill-templates were:
1. The Provoker-bard, back when provoking turned you gray. After I figured out how powerful that was, I turned to quite the NPK.
2. The thief/disarm thief (template changed when disarm came into play) - all reward, no risk.

After my return, the templates didn't matter much thanks to soul stones. So my "favorite" was based on role-play reasons.
1. Archer/ships captain (Aneirin to those who know me)
2. Tamer (for Fel spawns, Farsight to those who know me)
3. Scholar (Frequent template changes, from nox-mage to wrestle-mage to mystic mage and everything in between, when I quit, he was a mystic-fencer) who was a role-play guild-hopping character since I could never find a niche for him
4. Necro-mage with issues - This was a character from earlier who never fit in with my later plans. I used it primarily as a cross-healer/fielder in spawns.
5. Non-necro-samurai - Roleplay reasons stopped him from being a super-powered necro-samurai, but he was still decent in a fight with cross healing.

While I was great at making/working with sampires, I never really liked it when I had the option of playing with other people. At the end of my time in UO, my sampires were either on closed accounts or non-primary shards (Europa/Drachenfels)

Why chivalry? An apple does the same thing.

Second, tactics doesn't work with a mage wep, soooo you lost me here.

Third, inscription is pointless unless you pvp or make books. Do you craft books on the way to the fishing spots?

You can't do specials with mw and tactics, but I'm pretty sure the damage bonus is still there. When I mine I carry a mw -20 earth elemental slayer heavy x-bow. If I swap tactics in the valorite elementals fall pretty quickly. If I don't, they take longer.

The reason I like this one so much is I can run dead center of pretty much any spawn and work up a brawl. It is my most busy char and therefore much more fun. I tand to have maxed healthbars on screen and situate them in order of provoked and provoke to as I pull them. 10 max HP bars in not enough btw. I usually lose my party members bars in about 1 minute flat due to them disappearing once I reach ten.

All children are all different as are my characters each with their own persona.

If EA ever wanted to close down shards they would need to make the list infinate so i could have each one on the shards that were left, very few are "gift " place holders (son's idea)

Provides fast & intense healing on the run w/ good damage doled out. ... at times 120 archery gets swapped on for the swords for certain situations. also never leaves home without orange petals, enchanted apples and grapes of wrath. Given this is my first & most used fighting char, playing the mage char results in clumsy outings not being able to heal on the run, delays to cast & can't take a hit suited for high mana, lrc & sdi.

Slowly building a Mystic onto a Dexxer with 120 fencing & focus along w/high healing, anatomy is turning out to be a fun char in the making for my style. Maybe someday turn it into a throwing mystic gargy in lieu of the mystic human fencer... something to think about for the future. 16 spells in lieu of 64 is appealing for my no more than 8 macro play style along with the ability to cast effective spells without the large chunk of intelligence whereby maintaining strength and dexterity to wield a wep and heal on the run when needed is great.

Fisher/archer does the trick for the high seas stuff nicely...always with the tactics, anat & healing though.

I'd say first place is a tie between my Discord Tamer and my Archer Fisherman.

Then my Macing Sampire and my Pure pre AOS warrior. Unfortunately, my pure warrior is useless for anything other than low level creatures and role play these days.

I used to play a Necro/Mage/Tamer to do spawns with. Was very fun, but then the Sampire came along. I used to run a Greater Dragon and Wraith form with protection on. I would send in the greater, invis myself and then follow him in, in wraith form, and wither away. Worked great!

1. My Gorilla Rider. Since the Gorilla Gorilla mini booster brought in rideable paragon gorillas with banana cannons attached to their heads I have never had so much fun.
My favourite feature is the autotrample toggle. I can ride Fifi through the woods in fel and any small animals, instead of blocking my path, are automatically trampled and I ride straight over them laughing as they die. Simple yet effective and fun.
I also like how the booster gave gardeners the ability to grow banana trees and harvest their own banana crops. The 1% chance of your gardener being bitten by a Trinsic banana tarantula and dying from uncurable poison is a neat little easter egg but can be a pain if you are just in a hurry to water your plants.
The two tinker craftables gave me the spur I needed to turn in enough bananas to the library collection to get the new 120 tinker scroll. The gorilla gilder , the gorlider is a great idea that gives us humans and elves an equal footing with those pesky gargoyles and the glider wings just fit straight on to your paragon gorilla. There is not much better than swooping down on some newbs at Yew gate and opening up with the banana cannon, both barrels blazing, delivering squishy yellow death to those guard zone huggers.
The other water-borne tinker craftable for my gorilla is even better. This turns my ride into a submersible, or Submarilla, and the look on champ spawner's faces as I surface in the lagoon at the bottom of Despise is priceless. A few fruity bursts of the cannon atop Fifi's noggin soon sends them scrambling and leaves me with all the power scrolls. Thank you for such a wonderful booster.

Scribe alchemist mage- something about throwing purple potions and conflag potions at people always makes me giggle.. hes redder then hell.

Necro tamer mage- can solo lady mel with this guy, I have 3 or 4 of them total I love making this guy to get started on another server.
