Whats with the client crashing tonight at the big dragon show down..

Whats up with the client crashing tonight at the big dragon battle in fel? Soon as I rode up onto the major fighting bam client crash.. this happened twice..once when first approaching the mass of Plantium and Crimsons fighting and then later in the fight when I was teleported into that mass.. both times log back in dead..not the only one this happened too..some in my alliance it happened more then three times to.

what client were you on? also, is it both tram and fel fights tonite or one 2nite and other 2marrow?

I didn't have any problems myself but it looks as though the EM crashed AFTER the battle and then ran off. He told us to rally back at the abbey but nothing happened. GOtta say I also hoped for more than 88 plain hides when skinning a crimson dragon.....

Classic client here.. tonight was just the dragon battle only in fel..tomorrow night I believe on Cats we'll have the finale with the Shadow lords which I believe takes place in trammel on Fire Island.

ah ok, well id figure classic would be stronger against crashin but guess they didnt stress test the effects of havin a npc draggy war on top of a pvp war. lots to handle

I am using the Enhanced Client.

I actually crashed only once, that was BEFORE the whole event started.

BUT when the Crimsons entered the screen and cast their field spells, my client froze totally (it still was running, but I guess with 1 frame per 5 minutes). I killed the task and restarted the client, and found myself mysteriously in the forest near Trinsic, in a death robe. Got resurrected and returned.
The same thing happened 5 times in a row, before I gave up and retreated.

I suspect that my graphics adapter (GeForce 7600 GS, 256 MB) is too low-level to handle those mass particle effects. But it would be good to receive a recommendation of what kind of graphics card you need for such events, if you use the Enhanced Client.

When you crash in 2D try to remember if you had any player/creature bars or corpses open. There are a lot of 2D playerbar crashes I just dont know what causes them :/ but I seem to crash a lot when I try to pull a bar from a guy that dies at the same time I drag the bar lol

Ah that wasnt the case with me this time seemed to happen when I got teleported to the center of the massive dragon spawn right when the dragons did there huge area effect spells. Or if I was anywhere near the hug dragon pile when the area effect spells went off. First time it happened when I ran up onto the spawn logged back in and found myself dead in the center of the dragon pile.
