A couple of your players just made a video that has vastly more potential to bring new customers to UO than anything "official" I've seen come out of your offices in at least the past seven years.

Excellent video representing some of the most exciting aspects of UO!
Tears formed in my eyes as I viewed this. It is a good reminder to me of why I continue to play. I am hoping for a promising future.

I loved the music... it definitely created a longing (in me) to log in and play today.
the music is nice but not for that scenes... for example a fighting scene for being more involving needs a sound able to increase the adrenaline and let you feel part of the battleI loved the music... it definitely created a longing (in me) to log in and play today.

I think he deliberately spared me. I was only wearing non-magic rp armor and a simple non-magic weapon.
Hawkeye Pike two thumbs up on the video. It gave a inside look at what the UO world is all about. Mythic should be playing that video wherever they can as an Advertisement for UO. Bravo sir...well done!
I'm gonna have to agree with Pinco on the music though. That just didn't do it for me. Maybe a score or two from Basil Poledouris!
You have so many great ideas and I think you have a fantastic website. I wish they would have included all your ideas about Pirating in the High Sea Expansion.
Over the past 3 years since my return I've seen many great changes and additions to UO so I'm not one to knock the game. I just hope they continue to build upon it.
I look at some of the Freeshards and see some of the things they've incorporated into their servers and it baffles me why they Dev's haven't done the same. Really creative things like boat building and being a detective and many more. The game has so much potential...
Mythic needs to subcontract you and Saphireena and get you guys on the the payroll. Saphireena to work on the art and get some high resolution back into this game. I wish UO looked like Titan Quest from Iron Lore. That would make for a phenomenal game.
Though there are some things we don't see eye to eye on most things we do. You have a great love for the game and a good understanding of what is required to bring in new players and that's what UO needs as far as development of the game...some who has a passion for the game.

Music should have been Stones... but oh well also I have new disgust for the EC of course god someone fix the people and creatures UG dragons look sad now.. =(

I know. There certainly are several not so good things in UO as well. But there always are. In any game. And if a game is good in general and has a great and active community, it can outshine those flaws. (Which doesn't mean the game developers shouldn't focus on solving them.)
that music is from Mario Galaxy isnt it i'm partial to 2D and even though the video was made in the EC, i still enjoyed it, good job, lets see if any dev member acknowledges this video by posting here, they may even PM you and ask you to work for their marketing team

lol even I'm in it! I was at that exact Dawn Event. Europa, right? lol I have to critique though.
other than the first Dawn scene, and then later on the Doom Gauntlet scene, not much of that video is going to get anyone to buy UO. you need to hit on the key principles of UO, the crafting system and the housing system. after that, champ spawns, sea battles, and peerless bosses. you highlight friendship, but you don't really explain crafting or house ownership, and you go to the gauntlet, which is close enough to a peerless, but you don't go to champ spawns or show the process of going through the ferryman, which is sorta neat ;p.
anyway, the production value of the video is really good, and I'm glad you guys are having fun with ship battles despite having trouble with them when the booster first came out
.P.S. the golem explosions look pretty sweet in the EC (that's why I think it's a keeper as far as prospective buyers), but is that a blood ele in the underworld secret doors area? eww. lol

In fact, the video targets more the social aspect of UO. After finishing it, I already considered making one about the game features (some of which you already mentioned). That may be a project for the future.
P.S.: I didn't make the video so people would buy UO. I made it just for fun.
oh okay. ending with the hallmark, "Are you with us?" sorta suggests you want people to buy UO, why I went with that line of thought.
