(Question) what's the story about the hole?

Howdy,
Just curious... I normally play Atlantic, but I create a character on certain shards for event reasons...
I was wandering around the swamp above Trinsic and found a hole near "lucky duckling"... it leads into a dungeon like full of mannequins... was wondering what's the story behind this?

Yes, old EM storyline involving an assassin with a fondness for killing people who eventually went a little crazy. The mannequins are effigies of players that helped thwart her plans. The ruins are the remains of Paws after it sank into the swamp.

I think you can also still get to another lava-filled chamber from there too.
