A pity our old fisher "bragging" threads went *poof* with the previous forums. If I recall correctly, there were fish substantially heavier than 129 stones documented with screenies in some of them. There was also some speculation on what is the upper limit possible for a "big fish" weight, discussed in at least one of those threads. I don't remember what the conclusion was. I guess in theory it is 255 stones like other items, but I don't think anyone has reported catching one that heavy on any shard. Perhaps some of the dedicated fishers will comment.
I would speculate some likely suspects for record fish on Siege are:
Marouder
Gwendar
Maleeka
Krystal

Yeah, I do miss the Professions Forums. I have caught quite a few Big Fish now (I'm a very new fishermen) but never one over 100 stones till this one. I remember reading a post once about the largest fish caught on record but can't for the life of me remember what that weight was. It's just good for the soul to step away from all the drama and go out fishing for a change. Would love to hear more about the biggest fish you all caught!
So did you have a carpenter make a trophy out of your fish for you, with a taxidermy kit?
Does anyone recall if the fish weight is correctly retained & displayed after the fish is mounted on the plaque?

I cut those up for bait.
My largest is 197 stone. I also have a 181 and a 186. Smallest is 3 stone.
Heh, the kits are a lot more than 100K. I remember posting the exact costs on the Siege boards on the old forums but can't remember the prices. Per Stratics FAQ, on regular shards, they run 80K to 110K. On Siege in theory they would be 3X that, but I don't remember them being quite that high as a base price, maybe they were and it just has been too long for me to accurately remember, but it seems like the cheapest I was able to purchase a kit was in a faction town under negative tax rate at around 180K. I'll have to check to see for sure.
When I bought mine, the char making the purchase actually had to have the skill to use the kit to be able to buy it.
Supposedly, if you use a colored wood, the mounting plaque will take on that color. I have not tried that either.

I believe the largest UO Wide was at 229 on one of the Asian Shards...And the record smallest Big Fish was at 1
