ps clogs right 30 is the average ping time for just about everyone cept poor teeshy :p

You must get a only 2-3 hops between u and the server then. Because I live 2 hrs north of the server and I get 30-50, but saying that, my net bounces from me, to brisbane then back to sydney :(

hmm first pet, my conn occasionally goes to 150. and its obvious to u all :p when i am moving fast, i don't lag out, and my latency doesn't change, over 100 pings its 31-33 :p
but if asiannet in sydney decides to slow down conns from NZ, i jump to 150-153 consistently.

So funny pettles u trying to be like dalecti now? roflmao. Hes like the oldman of UO, rambles on about blah blah blah blahblah, Imagine that, the Old Man Dalecti, and the baby boy Petrify. Oooo Dalecti could be a priest roleplayer! and Petrify could be the lil choir boy (Ingame of course), imagine the roleplaying potential there!

and clog, according to the dude who fixed my phone, i live 200m away from our fibre optic exchange, seems to get me to aus in 20ms .. heh

Means jack ****. You would have to go from, you to your ISP first. So living 200m away from the fibre optic is irrelivant.

Also why would they decide to slow down the internet to NZ? Apart from the more obvious reason, it would be increased traffic through the fibre optic causing the servers on either side to have a hard time sorting out all the data.

dunno, look back a few months and i posted a traceroute of what was going on, i think i get about 4 hops @ 6 ms then hops to aus in 20-25 then another 4 or so at 30

ah and to add, i know absolutely jack about computers, so ye u tell me :p

There was a time when PvP was the best part of UO for me - now I get excited about house decorating :eek:

Build a template around ur speed, also try and adapt to it. I play certain characters when my bandwidth is sucked dry by my brothers WoW addiction.. So yea... Adapt is the key :D

This true to a degree (more so for PvM where you can second quess their responses due to rules of the game mechanics), however at this speeds you still a good level of luck and anticipation for PvP game play. Because what you are seeing on your screen is often .5 to 3 secs behind the real time action (on a bad night can be 5+sec's).

That sort of delay makes PvP near imposible against a reasonable player - you end being halfway through a heal spell only to realise that they have actually poisoned you / or you zig when you should have zagged :sword:- by the time you realise whet the correct response should have been, the screen go grey oOoOoOo:stretcher:oOoOoOo.

Then there is of course my favourite situation - recall into a dungeon and the first thing you see when finally appear on the screen is a grey mist over your eyes with no monster with sight :violin:

yea mezz anything over 150 and u have nfi whats going on around u.. nething under that u just do everything slow until u get to about 60 then its all beautiful :D

Sorry, my mistake, I forgot that the rons come from Adelaide. Toorak is probably the most exclusive suburb in Melbourne would that be right pet?
My question still remains though, why would you say you live in Toorak if you don't? Unless you want everyone to think that you live in an upper class suburb because every day you try harder to be like the rons and you are trying to portray the image that you are better that everyone else. If that's true then it's just sad...
