What was that they said about griefing in the Town Hall meeting?

I couldn't hear what they were saying when someone asked a question about griefing. Did anyone else happen to catch it? The microphone was way too close to the audience. I only caught about every other word and my ears are still ringing from the applause throughout.

The only talk about greifing I heard was when someone asked about stealing other ships. The developers responded that they didn't want to give tools to greifers.

They also said who would want a ship that costs 50k. But I know people who collect stolen ships currently and those are only 8k, so that isn't a good argument against stealing ships.

In the new expansion, you can attack and board locked ships. Someone wanted to know if you could commandeer them. Devs said, "No," as this would give griefers an outlet.

you should be allowed to commandeer them in felucca though that would make things more interesting

Yet they have given them "tools" in most of the events over the past year or more. Oh well, no reason for me to reconsider my position.

The Devs said the reason as to why they wanted to disallow other players to take others boats, was they wanted MORE players to take part. If you start taking others boats things slowly come to a stop. That has been the pancake of Fel complaint in a nut shell,that there is not enough LURE to Fel to bring in fresh meat. This is a way to help try to bring more players to the other side for combat. Along with Arenas to help train currently non PvP players to take part in PvP. If you start by taking the ships out from under them you lose more player base and encourages grief-ing.

In a nut shell, they said that they dont want to give the tools for griefing, but also said that it is imposable to stop when playing with diverse personalities within the game. And no mention of trying to stop it, which makes sense. If they were to stop Griefing and removed all the a-holes then Britannia would not be much of a world.
