currently i have a character with:

120 fencing/tactics/anat/heal/resist
80 chiv
40 focus

what would be best to change to turn the character into a necro bush dexxer and would i also need spirit speak?

Depends whether your going to be using vamp embrace or wraith form.. if the former i personally would suggest you drop healing completely and replace with parry then remove resist for bushido (120 in each), then you can drop chiv to 65-70 and put the points freed with that along with your 40 in focus into necro and then get necro to 99 using points from tactics/parry/anatomy depending on your preference. If u have a decent wep with mana leech mana will not be a problem and personally i've never seen the point in resist spells in pvm as long as your stats are good and you have enough apples/pots, but it does depend on your playstyle. the lack of the healing skill can be a problem when you first use this template but onec you become comfortable with it it shouldn't be a prob!

btw if you can't stand not having resist you can swap it for anatomy but this will reduce your damage output! and as your healing now depends on damage inflicted to a large extent the more the better!

120 bushido
120 parry
120 wep skill
100 tactics
100 anatomy
100 necro
60 chiv

Is the template I hear the most for vamp embrace. Can also drop parry to 0, add 100 healing, and add 20 to either tactics or anatomy. Which would come out to

120 wep skill
120 bushido
120 anatomy
100 tactics
100 healing
100 necro
60 chiv

(that's what I use)

Wraith is a little different

120 macing
120 bushido
120 parry
100 tactics
80 anatomy
80 spirit speak
60 chiv
40 necro

is the template I use for wraith form.

Also, my stats are 125 dex, 120 str, 10 int for both. Run an elf for the 20 mana so you have a total of 30. It's really all that's needed with a good mana leech weapon and/or wraith form.

why do u need specifically macing for wraith form? cant i just use a demon slayer blackthorns kryss?

Because wraith form has 50% life leech from curse wep (that's the point of going wraith) you don't need healing really, so it's better to go parry. And you can't block for **** if you have 120 bushido and no parry.

I didn't say you need macing specifically, I just said that's what I use. I prefer it for Dread especially, because with macing, you drain stamina, and with wraith form you drain the target's mana. After a few minutes he'll stop attacking entirely other than the poison attack. Works the same with all monsters though. A demon slayer mace would be your ideal weapon IMO.

Nope, 22 life leech, 25 ssi, 50 di, and a random super slayer. Decent, but I would find something better.

macing is a lot cheaper to build which is why I prefer it outside the reasons that were given above. Add in that a Diamond mace is an excellent damage weapon you don't even really need to worry about slayers most the time. Especially with a Sammy template. Just Honor the target first, it's not uncommon for me to be using a non-slayer on a high hp mob and reach perfection and nail them for 100 - 150 a swing.

Diamond mace does crazy damage with 100 DI, 120 tacts and anat, EoO, and max perfection. I remember hitting like 200+ that way with my vamp samurai before they changed it to require 99 necro.

If your planing on fighting semidar the char is likely to die unless you're female.

Mace vs Fencing... When you're depending on leech to live you want to be hitting as hard and fast as possible, diamond mace is the best option for that really, or ornate axes with swords. Macing also has the best whirlwind weapon for spawn clearance (black staff - though good ones are hard to find).

The life leech property on weapons isn't literally the amount it says either, theres a formula involved which I cba to explain but it basically means that the leech on blackthorns kryss's is useless, at least for anything difficult like going toe to toe with a champion.

The leech property from necro forms is literally 20% for vamp form & 50% for curse weapon and they do stack. (Though one or the other is preferable imo)

Overall the most solid template for this imo has always been:
120 wep (mace or swords, d mace or ornate axe)
120 bush
120 parry
100 tact
100 resist
100 necro
70 chiv

With that a weapon with 40 mana leech is sufficient though stam leech also saves you having to use divine or pots but it's not really a problem.

Lightning strike constantly, counter attack &/or evade also. Hence the resist, every level of semidar has casters, being mana vamped is irritating and avoidable.
