So im sitting at 115 lore, 101.5 taming, bout 100 vet.

Ive been gone for a while and heres what I have.

2 Bake kitsunes
a mare
a GD
A hiryu
A Rune beetle.

Where would I want to be to just farm some gold/drops? I remember farming swoop, and i took my 2 kitsunes there and they could only do a whole lot of nothing, granted none of my pets are trained to the max. I dont think I can yet control or even bond the GD, the rest are bonded, so i should be ok to use them to hearts content right? Would the rune/mare be able to drop swoop with some good bandage use? Or should I just simply look for other targets? Any reccommendations are greatly appreciated. As for skill gains in taming as well, ive just been doing bulls for what I can, fairly tough skill gain with no danger to go and tame. Also my skills are AFTER jewelry, is it a better Idea to try and get gains wearing jewelry or not? I assume when i tame somethign it goes offa my current skill not real skill? Sorry for the questions but ive been gone a good enough while that Its stuff thats slipped my mind. Also where should I take my beetle mare or hiryu to train them? which are a better pair?

Right now the best money is in farming essences in the Stygian Abyss mini-spawns. I can't believe the absurd prices people ask for some of the imbuing ingredients.

A bake kitsune/rune beetle combination just tears through any of the fire demon spawns as well, so long as you can make the bake act as tank (There are three fire demon spawns).

I just had my rune beetle/bake kitsune in swoop yesterday, and they did just fine as well.

If you have friends to hunt with, you can earn a lot by chaining Melisande. Another tamer with a dragon and your pet combination makes quick work of her.

I have 115 taming, lore and vet and still use my beetle/bake for nearly everything, only taking out my dragon for a select few fights where high physical resist is mandatory (i.e. vs Monstrous Interred Grizzle's acid attacks) or where I'm the only tamer in the group and we just need a tank.

Once my two bakes were fully trained in combat skills I took them to Swoop. Their mana dump alone took it to half hits or so. After they've spend their mana things do get slow and you need to use a lot of bandages, but it's not nearly as hairy as fighting a greater dragon. To call it a good source of gold would be wrong though.

Among monsters that the bakes handle particularly well are blood elementals and demons. You can try the fan dancer dojo - the respawn is almost instant, I can barely find time for looting.

For your bakes, Fan dancers works well, if you want a bit of time to loot you can do arctic Ogrelords. Gold not bad and a lone bake take them out in a very short time. Two tear through them and I usually have to vet very little. Either location you can get to 100000 gold relatively quickly, so bags of sending are vital.

The named spiders in the Weald. Dangerous to get to if you're not careful, but Lissith and Sabrix are pushovers, respawn pretty quick, and give over 2K gold each.

Easy for you to lure the changelings over, and they're less of a pushover though, so you'll want to be careful.

Should I focus first on training my pets? I have one bake where most of his melee skills are 90s, the other bake is pretty low like 60s(have died with him a few times :p) and the rune beetle is around 90s too. Or would I be better off just raising my taming so i could bond the GD? Is the hiryu worth while at all anymore?

I solo'd with my hiryu for the longest time, they're still viable.

I'd prefer the hiryu over the bakes.

Hiryu > Cu

Disclaimer: Your mileage may vary. If you experience headaches or nausea, discontinue use of Hiryu immediately and consult your physician. Hiryu should not be used by pregnant women or the elderly.

So I am now an elf, and im ready to get a Cu, anyone here from catskills? :D Ive been trying the method where i go in, attempt until it gets near me then take off out of the portal and come back in and repeat. Died 4 times, 0 success. Is one hit from this thing supposed to drop me to about 15 20% health? I know i dont have 70s resists because im using a 100% lrc suit.

That is a very average cu sidhe in every way. It has high cold resist, but low energy resist.

The max values of a newly tamed cu sidhe are:
Resists: 65/45/85/50/85
Str: 612
HP: 600
The skills don't really matter, as they all train to 100 anyway. Dex always trains to 125.

What I look for in a cu is minimum 60 physical, 40 fire and 80 energy, as those are the forms of attack you find most of the time. Most monsters have physical attacks and most magic casting monsters use a lot of flame strikes and energy bolts. Strength doesn't vary enough on a cu sidhe to make a big difference (what is the damage difference from 600-612 strength anyway?) so I don't concern myself too much with that. More hit points is also welcome, but for a good vet, isn't always needed.
