Alright, so everyone knows that in Zento there are large patches of gardens between each designated 'house spot'. It's very obvious that homes cannot be placed in those areas because of large bushes, logs and even flowers.

I come to my home today and see a house right smack in between my neighbor and I!

I turn on CoT and see that the house IS placed over large items, some that even stick out around the sides of it.

Since this wasn't intended to be there, despite the fact that it's there or not, what can my neighbor and I do?

page a gm, honestly if someone has found a way to legally place in illegal spots the it needs to be routed to the devs.

I paged, as did a whoooole lot of other people once they saw the house. The GM spoke with me, asked me why I believed it was illegally placed, and one I explained she said she'll be looking into it.

Hopefully, because she actually spoke with me, that means something will be done, because that house's position is blatantly wrong.

Though his blackrock has a fairly big blast radius...if it takes out your east wall or something, that could be bad.

There is another option. Don't fret over it.You could possibly do nothing and save yourself a ton of stress. It is in the hand of EA now, and they have always taken active measures in preventing illegally placed houses. I assume that it will be taken care of but you can still enjoy UO with the house there no?

hehe the person with the least amount of power is going to make it all better...

I found a small glitch in the custom house tool that made the delay timer on trading and placing houses vanish, no idea how they placed right there but it appears that the area was spammed with house placement requests because there was some broken objects around it.

Yes, the area does look really, really off to me too. I was told by the GM last night to submit a bug report, but I wasn't sure if after notifying Chrissay about it if it would matter... since I think that's who the bug reports go to anyway.

I dunno, but whatever was done to allow it worked. Sadly, it does distort the clean and elegant look of Zento...

So after what happened, some friends started noticing other new, strangly placed homes popping up.

One placed over part of a large pond in Malas and a large log, another placed in a strange terrain area of Tokuno near Travesty.

Guess I'm not the only one whose noticing strange stuff.

real question is why are people placing these houses it illegal locations when there are decent legal house places.

I'm not sure where in Malas it was, cuz I was gated there.

Yeah, it baffles me too why someone would illegally place when there's tons of open spots, even in Zento.

Zento houses are about to jump about 250% in net value, chances are with the coming events we will be killing paladins in Luna and when they dead the city will be overrun with Shadow Lords

But since i just predicted this the Dev will probably just deny it and make something new up on the spot lol
