...decided that all names must be unique, but decided last names were a bad idea.

Last names aren't bad, they just want everyone to have the last name of Jenkins.

The user should be allowed to toggle it on/off. I am sure it will be patched in eventually.

open your paperdoll and at the top it says your title and has a drop down box. click it and click none if you dont want a title showing.
