What is the bonus for being at the event?

Ok I'm new to the forums and thought I'd start a thread to discuss what bonuses we recieved and may recieve as the event in Moonglow continues.

I know those that were there at least the first day recieve a healing buff, with a message that says you feel as strong as 2 people. Has anyone noticed any other benefits while in the alternate Moonglow?

so how does it help you? you heal faster or heal more damage ?
do you hit harder since your 'stronger' ?

kinda lame how they rolled the begining out without more notice.

I haven't seen the bonus today, of course I've died too often to say for sure.

Also too busy fighting to read every message that pops up in the game. But from what I've read on the posts and experienced myself I think it just heals you every so often. I also read elsewhere that Draconi says there will be other effects that happen to those that were at the starting events and I wonder what those might be.

was able to kill bezerker demons in 2 to 3 hits..fetid essence in 1 hit and the lattice seekers would maybe be 3 hits..........................

Well we'll see what happens as the event progresses. Maybe they'll give us a place to get rezzed quicker so we can add to that collection of robes faster.

Seriously though, I hope that some of the new powers that supposedly we will recieve happen soon those fallen angels are tough. Would be nice to turn the table around on them.

After whacking my head against the Dev-wall of design for three days and getting nothing but death robes, I am walking away from this scenario. Few if any even have a clue about what supposedly went wrong with the Blackrock Detector. Truly the story line on it is lame and I'd rather have some logical reason to go die time and time again, rather than this stupid "hack'n'slash" bs.

what ya mean is, you want something drawn out for you and made simple..here is where we are...something went wrong with the blackrock machine....you can be one of the people who stay in the fight and hash it out until the story turns and something is learned...or you can be one of the people who sit on stratics or the herald and will read about what happend and where the story went...in the meantime what else would you rather be doing?....no one said you have to be there, its something new to do, if you dont want something new to do, then thats fine..but dont bash and then come back later saying you should have been told about this or that before so you could have stayed in when it comes time to turn things in because you dont have the story and reason all laid out and handed to you right away, draconi said the after effects will last for 2 weeks, when the next publish is ready..by then im sure we will learn something new

Dude, I'm an old AD&amp;D player - I know the difference between interesting scenarios and "Hack and Slash." -and I'm betting that in the end all my death robes and participation give me nothing at all.

-and this is certainly nothing new to do but waist time. I'm going to go restock my vendors. That will be productive.

And if you think I am supposed to just go along with what the Devs say, you are out of your mind.

well like i said....theres no need for you to be there if you dont want to, just dont piss and moan after...great D&amp;D wise one...you will find your victory in re stocking the vender....some of us actually like going to battle in new places...and if ya co operate with some of the people around you, you dont get as many death robes....these are the same complaints over n over again, during magincia, during the ophidians..and whatever is next...fact is, if you dont like it...you dont have to be there, end of story

im sorry if i offended you Maltz, what it is really, is i guees im just tired of people constantly judging a scenario in the inu storyline's before its played out..if we all showed up sat night and the shadowlords showed and we took em out and woohoo!!...that was the end of that until we read some bnn story about what happend in the background, it would be more complaining about us not having anything to do...people are trying to figure things out..there doing tests on the robes, the threads...the plane swords and sheilds...the battle in the meantime is something out of the regular normal routine, and has players co operating with each other that you would normally never see together.guilds who do nothing but kill each other in fellucia...x healing together and working together...if you ask me, this is a good thing..it gives you an oportunity to meet people you normally wouldnt talk to and gives you something else to do in the meantime....if i came off as harsh toward you personally, i apologies...and i hope you dont take it as a personal attack, wasnt ment to be...i just wish people could see these events for more then..a place to collect pixle crack...its giving everyone a reason to work together toward something we have no idea about yet

Believe me, I have had my fair share of death, with other people resurecting me, and I have certainly done my fair share of resurections with bandages - (Yes, I am GM Anatomy, and Healing,) so I can do that. I even lay bandages on the ground to share with others as well.

But going back into the gate over and over again, and dying over and over again is pointless for me now unless, there is some tangible storyline.

well im sure if something changes during the week, there will definitly be postings about it and maybe give you another reason to pass through that gate..trust me, im sure everyone at one point or another has givin moonglow the finger in the past few days, logged out and said %^$* this...i think back to magincia and having to go to the docs to get rezzed...or before the malitia came and the healer was killed..you had to go back the the healers shop in trinsic to get rezzed....was a major pain in the assets!!

hehe, I have easier ways of getting gold than looting corpses while dealing with that mess. Give me a storyline that I can work with, and I'll "roleplay" my characters all day and night with it. This is almost impossible to roleplay. That is why I say that it is "Hack and Slash."

Trust me, I know the feeling.

It was fun the first night, but after several refits of equipment and doing no better than that, it's been nothing but an exercise in frustration.

I did get a few shields off of corpses created by berserkers, and when very lucky able to kill a wisp or two, but beyond that, unless they're going to have a turn in for death robes, my time in the current portion of the event is pretty much over.

I guess my melee character because he doesn't run some freaked out template that uses a messed combination of all of the post AOS skills, he's pretty much done.

Back to mining and filling BODs I guess and waiting to turn in collected stuff from the former, more accessible events.... that and still waiting for the next REAL KR patch.

Myself I don't care about dying I like the community. I just keep the bare minimums on me, uninsured, and go in to have fun. If I lose anything oh well I bet I'll have even more fun trying to obtain or craft them again. I've played other online games and none can compare to the flexibility in choices and kindness of others like UO.

Sure sometimes at the event I rez someone and don't even get a thank you, you know who you are

, but I just laugh it off.

Nice Elbryan, I have the virtue armor so makes it even more worth while to run around with uninusred items at this event. Just focusing on wisps for threads have enough swords and shields. Though I normallly try to jump in to help with the other stuff I know that a fetid essence one on one is pushing my limits just a tad. Btw I'm a swordsman too with healing, anatomy, tactics, and parry.

Ok was on tonight for about an hour in the event and never got the message about having the strength of 2. Anybody still getting the message?

Anyone can have fun at this event. I and some friends gave some of the people at the rezzing stations swords, shields, threads and cloaks. They were doing the hard work, keeping us up and supplied.

I really wish they could code something for those that play the healer could reap the rewards and not have to wait for us to give them it.

Those etheral warriors have the strength of 10 men and i don't remember any of them being at the event. Seriously, i lored em and they have like 1000-1100 everything. Thats not kool at all.

I just thought of this after reading your post. Maybe we should invite them to into a party. This way they can reap the fame reward along with the gains in karma. Should work even if they are on the other side of the moongate right?
