I realized that a big driver for me playing Ultima Online are the objectives I have not done, after damn near a decade and a half of playing...

For me:
1 - Own a castle. This was one of my first objectives I set for myself in Ultima Online. But I've really cooled on this. Mostly because the castles are fugly and you can't customize them, plus I have all the storage space I need. But fact is, I have never owned a full blown castle in Ultima Online.

2 - PK an innocent. After all this time, I have never killed another player via a PK attack. But I don't choose to do that. I HAVE, however, killed many PKs, and in some of my proudest UO accomplishments, saved others from being PKed.

3 - Gotten an Ornament of the Magician drop in Doom. I have my Doom collection but have never gotten the top prize. But then, that's why I do Doom so often. Not attaining the top prize makes it that much more precious and keeps your interest.

4 - Unattended macro. Every point of every skill was me clicking the mouse.

5 - Completed a Harrower Quest. Mostly because by the time Harry appears, the PKs of Sonoma are waiting for us.

6 - Played a tamer or bard. Neither has ever appealed to me.

7 - Killed a paragon dragon or great wyrm. Got fed up after dying too many times.

8 - Fought the medusa. Never got around to it!

9 - Ever figured out how to grow an orange plant that gives petals. But then I didn't spend much time gardening.

10 - Killed Thraximus in the Sonoma PvP wars. But he's left me in the dirt a few times.

11 - Solo'ed a Dark Father and won.

12 - Built an Imbuer. That's a grind I can do without.

13 - Ever got a Paragon Trifecta (artie, chest, and monster treasure map all generate as loot)

14 - Gathered all the keys for a Peerless by my lonesome.

15 - Fought Chyloth's dracolich. (What the hell does he DO with all those Gold Skulls?)

16 - Sailed uninterrupted all around Britannia, stopping at every port, in one gaming session.

17 - Got married in game. Just didn't find the right girl I guess.

18 - Have owned more than 35 million gold at any point.

19 - Rode a llama.

20 - Won a town for my faction. If you aren't CoM on Sonoma, you never get to play John Wayne, only the indians.

The list of things I have not done in UO, so far, is longer than yours. I'm one of those players who has never had any interest in PvP, who has never killed another character in game (not even in self-defense), and who gets the most enjoyment out of peaceful pastimes such as cooking, raising plants, crafting items for friends, and house deco. I do like fishing and pirate hunts. I only occasionally visit a dungeon, and after all my years of playing, I'm only now becoming interested in taming. In short, I don't usually play UO for excitement. I play for relaxation most of the time. And I'm grateful that UO has room for laid-back play styles like mine.

I've never grown a plant or brewed a beverage. Otherwise, I suppose I've done it.

So much...list would be bigger than yours. Sage potions? Just read about those and want to go find them. And I pk'd a young orc once...and to this day still feel bad about that. Ima lover not a fighter. At one point I thought okkk focus on something and do it rather than just doing bits and pieces, so I thought ok..get all the virtues i can...but then i got distracted by turkeys or something.

I've never done Travesty. And there are still ML named monsters I've never fought. I also need to spend time in Ilshenar and Tokuno getting to know some of the remote places there. Still lots to do. If only there wasn't this thing called "work" getting in the way of my UO time. :) I suppose I should be just grateful I've got a job in today's economy and that UO is still going strong after nearly 15 years.

Below are things I never got around to trying in UO. Some of them I don't think I'll ever care about doing. Others...who knows?

  • Owning a castle.
  • Owning a house in Luna.
  • Attending an in-game auction.
  • Visiting an in-game casino.
  • Attending a rares festival.
  • Making a sampire.
  • Using the throwing skill.
  • Working fishing skill past 100, doing any fishing quests, owning a High Seas boat of any type, or helping to kill Chyloth. (I paid for the booster for two accounts and just never got around to doing much with it except a smidgeon of crafting, after reading all the horror stories of buggy quests, expensive lost ships, and fishing tedium.)
  • Giving any of my characters something alcholic to drink after stills were added to the game.
  • Taming a reptalon. (Never had stable slots to spare for such a useless pet.)
  • Participating in a battle chicken lizard fight. (Raised and trained quite a few but never got to try them out in an organized fight.)
  • Seeing first-hand the results of tossing a white fishing net.
  • Owning an Ornament of the Magician or a Crimson Cincture (and most other artifacts) other than on a test shard.
  • Using a "compassion" dye.
  • Using an item bless deed.
  • Completing any of the quests you get from the gargoyle queen or her advisors.
  • Working on town loyalty in the current story arc.
  • Trying the puzzles in the Underworld on a regular shard.
  • Helping to kill a Harrower.
  • Helping to kill a Stygian Dragon.
  • Participating in the champ spawn in the Labyrinth.
  • Visiting the Palace of Paroxysmus.
  • Received an even slightly useful artifact in Doom.
  • Visiting Wrong dungeon since it was revamped.
  • Being a Commanding Lord.
  • Participating in factions on Siege or Mugen.
  • Experiencing much of anything in Khaldun. (Finally got around to visiting it after I started playing on Siege and spent most of my time as a ghost until I got kicked out under the champ spawn timer. I think most of the interesting content there was broken before I ever started playing UO.)
  • Stealing from another player's character without their consent/knowledge.
  • Killing an "innocent" nonfaction character belonging to another player without their consent.
  • Participating in the Order/Chaos system. (I think it was turned off for good a month after I started playing.)
  • Using a moonstone. (I've owned a few but wasn't sure they still worked and didn't want to risk losing them.)

-Make a tamer. Never was interested in having a pet dragon and typing in 'all kill'
-I did pre-AoS pvp... too lazy to adjust to the new system
-Purchased UOA
-Run more than one copy of UO at a time
-Use Vent
-Cry in gen chat when I get killed, or kill someone
-Pick up other peoples runes and mark over them
-own a castle/luna house (happy with my N1 Magincia plot)

While I've had castles in my possession to help friends out temporarily, I've not truly owned one. I've been a co-owner on several, helped buy two. But I'm not sure that I want to own one, even though I have enough gold and could probably find one.

Same with owning a house in Luna, I've had a few Luna houses pass through my possession temporarily, but didn't care to stay. The garrish neighbors (strip malls) probably had something to do with that.

I've never really done the tamer thing, outside of building a tamer to get what I or my guild personally needed. Now with the pet stalls in New Magincia I don't even have a reason for that since they seem to be stocked with everything I need. That is to say I've never had the desire to use a tamer and pets to fight.

Did not do the brewing thing, and the plants thing..it's like me and the tamer thing, grow some things I needed that were hard to find, but no real desire to try and learn the system.

Have not done the sampire thing even though it would have benefitted me at one point.

I must say I've done all that... For the most part.

Never owned a Luna house. Not for a lack of wanting to... Always wanted to own and run a Tavern in Luna.

Never have unattended macro... don't care to do that.... I like to feel the reward of my hard work.

I still haven't built my GM+ Characters on every shard yet... was a goal of mine .... 1 tamer, 1 thief, 1 dexer and a mage on every shard...

I still haven't maxed out all the characters on my home shard yet. Also a goal of mine. I have however GMed or 120'd every skill in the game...

YES Even Taste ID.

Have never solo'd a peerless... thought that's not really an ambition of mine.... unless you count the styngian dragon.. but I don't count him

Have never done a harrower... in fel. Never been in a Fel guild and never gone Red. Probably will never do any of those things.

I've never done the two special SA Fel Champ spawns.

Never owned a house in Fel.

I've never stolen from another player. No I take that back... only from Thieves in the Thieves guild after the opening of Tokuno... *LoL*... I did steal from them.

Never in Fel.

I've not yet brewed anything.

I haven't ever used the Arena's... though I thought about it. But archers just aren't made for that I don't think.

I'll never do it all because it takes me on average 6mo's to a year to properly enjoy something.

The past few months has been my first try into hosting vendors and OMGHOWDOYOUGUYSKEEPUP???

After 8 months I'm finally at the cusp of 115 fishing....

I will never be a true thunter because I need far more than a 5 tile radius with mining without tossing my map on the ground. (I really think it should scale up from lvl 1 so the odds are better for young players and then lvl 5+ make it harder for the true hunter)

It took me 2yrs to get to Legendary Mage and I enjoyed every minute of it :)

Lots of stuff I haven't done, like GM taste Id or collected 1000 pieces of kindling.

But for stuff off the top of my head ive wanted to do, but havent:

1) Get one of those sweet full size arch demon statues from the abyssal inferno spawn.

2) Get a full set of evil mage paragon chests. That would be a chore, but a neat collection to have.

3) Get a magic lock box.

4) Solo a champ or peerless.

5) Own the house on the island in rainbow lake!

I'm pretty much a crafter in the game so i've probably not done well over 3/4 or more of the things in UO. I have 7 accounts from 1997 and only 3 of the characters have ever been out of Fel.

I've never been to a dungeon and pretty much everything on the original list minus #18 applies to me.

Crafting and maintaining all of my houses on Sonoma keeps me busy busy!

thers's COM on sonoma?

im trying to remember the last time i saw a COM on sonoma......

ill get back to ya when i remember seeing one.

hehe

i like this topic.
what havnt i done.
i think ive been pretty lucky.
i have a very close guild and we make a point of getting out and doing stuff almost nightly.
and when we get bored, watch out, some of the suggestions are off the wall!

hell, last week one of the guys said he was bored.
so we went out and we ran sigs on EVERY SHARD that was stealable.
haha, that was just funny... made me laugh.

but ya, i think ive done pretty much everything that i have ever wanted to do. but im still loving doing it over and over and over again!

Killing an "innocent"
i havnt done that..... today, but the server has only been up for a hour.

ya know, this may sound silly, something ive never done in UO but have allways wanted too.
ive never played a female character.
it just seems...... wrong? strange?

and ive never gone full out in a RP guild.
ive RPed to tick people off while killing them, but never in a guild of like orcs or something like that.
that would be fun i think.

Things that I have NOT done yet in UO:

1.) Attended a Champ Spawn in Fel.
2.) Built the "perfect" suits for Combat and/or Luck.
3.) Solo'd a Champ Spawn, or defeated a boss creature solo.
4.) Gotten a blue or pink scroll for fighting spawns.
5.) "Enjoyed" PvP.

That I have done. I traveled all the lands by foot many times... that's how you used to find the BEST vendors. It's still a great way to find other things... like IDOC's... spawns... neat things you never knew were there.. very well done landscape...

I have done that THB!
In the early days of the game a group of us would play our own version of "Man vs wild."
One in the group would open a gate and we would all try to get back to the West Trinsic bank first. Then UOAM came out and ruined the fun. . Hehe

The maps terrain is very detailed and I've probably logged every tree, mined every ore location and fished from every water tile in Fel!
