What happens if an Abyss house goes IDOC?

This won't probably happen to soon, but soon or later some of the people who one a house in the abyss will quit and maybe not all of them will care enough to trade the house before.

So will there be a new lottery then? Or will we be able to place a house normally there then?

Generally the spot just becomes "empty" as no placement will be allowed. I'd love to see some of the old contest spots given out again through new contests...

Say... Person 1 won the house and has taken possession. Person 2 wants to purchase the current plot/built house from them. If Person 1 agrees, is this possible?

I think the person with the abyss house can have more than one house on his account, that makes me think the Abyss house is grandfathered and will never fall

No they're not grandfathered.
To the best of my knowledge, grandfathered houses have to be manually refreshed, so they'd fall down pretty quickly if the subscription stopped.

I was doing the quest for the pretty little bottles. When I click on the lantern I was saying please don't let me win. When I didn't win I was really happy cuz I got that pretty little bottle, and had another day to get another til someone did win. now my pretty bottle collecting is over.

i dunno ... open to the public, with vendors on them, forge/anvil etc to use... basically an OUTPOST in SA. a teleporter directly to and from luna is not such a bad thing either, makes getting back in after banking much easier.

As the winner of one of the houses. I noticed that it was Grandfathered and asked Messana to come back and transfer it to my other account. She informed me that its only grandfathered because she placed it with the "God Client," as she called it. So, its in fact a regularly placed house with auto refresh roles...it just say's grandfathered because she placed it.

This sounds like and Ask the DEV's question to me If you ask me I think everytime one falls or loses it's owner or whatever.... then there should be a code in-place to have the bottles start again on that one till someone wins it again...

But that's just my opinion.

I was there when Mesanna transferred a house to the winner. She was very careful to explain the rules for it.

Only 1 house per account.
If it drops for any reason (resize. idoc, etc) it's gone. There won't be anything to camp. No one else can place a house there.
Only owners, co-owners and friends can mark runes
Public transport tiles work mighty fine!

Wrong. Grandfathered houses auto refresh but they stay up after the account is no longer paid for. I believe it's because the account itself continues to age due to the account being purchased before '98 or '99, whatever it was.

All of the houses will be moved to a primary state this week. Please make sure that you have your old houses cleared out . The only reason they are in the grandfather state is because I placed them with my client.

There are people on several shards attempting to buy these houses. Could you tell us please whether they are, in fact, tradeable after the ticket has been redeemed? Or is it only the ticket that could be sold prior to acceptance of the house.
