What does this message mean?

[Flutter]

In all my years of UO I have never seen this:
"The patch client was unable to retrieve the file from the patch server. Please try the patch operation again in a short while." *highlighted for attention*
I am fully patched, had been logging on different characters preparing for a transfer (shield).
I had not initiated the transfer yet.

I get frequent "fatal" boxes when changing characters but have never seen the above message.
Just these all the time *when changing characters and almost every time I change something in settings and hit "okay":

Every single time you log in it sends a query to the patch client to see if your running the latest patch.. something just glitched on the manifest file comparison there..

Changing characters a lot and moving around a lot crashes me in EC as well..
I do the log out and back in thing a lot when I doing some tasks..

I've had my comp track it and it's a memory leak..

Because you should never see my bankbox then if you think hers is anywhere close to messy! Lol

I was playing on the CC for a little bit this month... organizing my pack with pouches and skillfull layouts came back quick.... I like using Dark Nights.... My bankbox looked way worse than her's coming from EC grid layout..

I've been getting the same thing at the character selection screen lately. Posted about it in the tech forums but no reply yet.
