What do you want from Catskills new EM?

With the new EM program coming soon I got to thinking about what types of events I would love to see on our shard. So I thought I would give all of you your chance to throw some great ideas out for who ever gets picked to EM this shard. (The new EMs are not allowed to play on the shards that they EM for. So chances are the one who does get assigned to the Catskills shard will not know much of our shards history and may even check these boards to get to know us better.) Also maybe some of you can post past EM events from Catskills history so our new EM can get a general feeling for what we were use to too before. So here is the question I throw out to all of you:

If you were chosen to be the Catskills Shards new EM what kinds of events would you plan for the player base and why?

I know I want events that include all classes of characters, not the old go slay a bunch of monsters and three or four people get a rare item reward. I want a bit of a storyline to follow with a villain that we all can learn to hate. I also want some fun events too that involve craftsmen, fishermen and chefs. Just to change up the pace some.

Rather than events, I'd prefer behaviors. The first thing I would want from an EM is to cater to different portions of the potential audience at different times. For example, the EM could show up in a Baracoon spawn and lead whoever is there to a different sort of spawn with a live enemy at the end (like many of the VERY old fashioned Seer quests), and a reward of a complete skull set or a larger than normal amount of skill or stat scrolls. Or no new reward, but a larger than normal portion of the old rewards.

The next event could focus on a mostly Trammel based audience which focusses on solving riddles to get to the final solution (like the Casca quest).

A third type of event isn't really an event at all, but rather focussing on character development in places like Istas or Aegis or the Jolly Rodger (home of guilds S^S, KE and UP respectively).

The amount of different play-styles in UO is huge (Cats being no exception), and any event moderator who doesn't try to attract as many different styles as possible to trying new-and-different things wouldn't be doing his job correctly. Sure, when an event caters to one of those styles, the participants of the other styles will all complain (some more loudly than others), but I consider some complaints better than completely alienating a certain group just because they play in Felucca or just because they like to make things.

To whoever eventually becomes the Catskills EM... get to know your audience! Talk to the heads of D|R, GRI, HA, KE, UP, l33t and as many other guilds as possible (even if it means using out-of-game methods to do it). Find out what makes each group tick and give them what they want. Don't try to cater to everyone at once, but don't leave any group out of the big picture either.

People that play catskills can't be EM of catskills. So whoever applied from OTHER shards would be able to answer that question. It's easier to post on Uhall than on every other-besides-catskills forums

Well i guess everyone is to pestimistic nowadays :| If i was an EM i would really want to get some info on the shards history so that i would be able to dish out some of the cheese that people wanted and not some bathtub stuff taht is bad and worthless :\
