I've noticed some posters have "stamps" next to their name. Most of the time they are like a News reporter, or moderator ect... That seems to determine the "stamp". Some of them have a M inside a "stamp" ect... My question is, is there a legend of what these stamps all mean, and a list of them? Maybe I'm just not finding it on Stratics.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

The shields...

A=Admin type person
V=VIP (like a current or former game developer)

M & S=Stratics Staff, with "M" or "S" showing, depending on whether they are on a forum that they have moderator power on, or elsewhere.
For Example, on this forum (and the Lake Austin forum, and UO Craftsman), I have an "M" because I have moderator powers. On U.Hall, though, my shield has an "S", because I'm not a U.Hall moderator.

Technically, any moderator can give infractions on any forum in an emergency, but can't move files, etc. on ones where they only have an "S" - and NO Moderator can actually DELETE a post - hide or move to somewhere unseen, yes, but not delete. Only the POSTER and a number of admins a Sleestak could count on one hand can actually delete (the ability to delete for the poster either will show up between the "Go Advanced" and "Cancel" buttons, or can be found in the full-service editor you get from hitting "Go Advanced").

so if I catch someone spamming links to Russian porn sites on U.Hall, I can permaban the spammer - hopefully stopping the account before it hits too many forums, but the actual removal of the post would have to be done by someone with an A or M shield. Usually, the only times you'll see someone modding outside their assignment is dealing with obscene or advertising spam, ban evasion, or disobeying Moderator instructions (such as restarting a flame war/locked post, after getting an infraction elsewhere and told not to bring the subject back up).

... Thank you. That was exactly what I had hoped to learn.
