What are people using for PvM anymore...?

Hi!

I am just returning...I had a cu bonded in my stable, so I figured what the hay!

I am having issues with like Miamsi, or whatever, the super scorpion in the Mino dungeon. The cu constantly has mortal wound on it (so I cant heal it). I guess I am wondering do people still kill this thing, if so what do they use?

I also still had a beetle bonded but no mare. That was the combo of choice the last time I played (for pvm). is it worth it to tame another beetle? I hear people saying to use the bake three tailed fox thingy (I already tamed two of them).

Also! (I have been busy heh) after dying about 20 times, I managed to tame (with the help of someone healing) a greater dragon. I guess that people use these to pvm now?

Yeah, my tamer is my main character. If Im going out to hunt I almost always take my greater drag. I also use my cu sidhe quite a bit, but for bigger mobs its not as effective as the greater drag. Thats what most people use.

Occasionally I'll take my G Dragon. I mainly take my pink Hiryu. Or my dread/bake combo. Then my rune beetle sometimes too. I like to have variety.

 

[Farsight]

It depends on the situation.

I take my beetle/bake to peerless when someone else has a greater dragon.

I take my beetle/nightmare to far away hunting spots and for Travesty keying.

I take my greater dragon to difficult spots (like Stygian Dragon key collecting or fire demon spawns)

I take my cu sidhe to the twisted weald, champ spawns in Felucca and for fame/honor farming (succubi or Thrasher).

I have a pair of wolf spiders which I'm just training up for role play purposes.

The following pets have either recently been released or will be released soon:
2 boura (too slow, about as effective as 1 cu), a skree (wasted my time training that one up), 2 raptor (I prefer the spiders)

The following two pets I don't know exactly why I'm keeping them since I rarely use them:
Dread War Horse
Stone Slith (admittedly, the combination of these two are pretty effective and the stone slith makes a decent support pet, but I'm usually alone when I'm on my tamer, so they don't come out much).
