I'll be setting up vendors soon selling house deco and other craftables. What are the low & high prices for the various items?

I did check out Petra's handiwork, first place I looked :) , she didn't include the house deco type items. I was hoping someone with experience on Siege would have a list.

PM Queen Zen here on the boards. She used to sell all of that stuff.

I think it´s too hard to give you prices on each individual item. I guess you need to come up with a "X x resources + Y x time = Z gold" system.
Let´s say a stool takes 10 normal boards. And let´s say the market price of a normal boards is 5gp. Then 10x5 = 50 plus what you feel is worth for your time invested.

Someone on these boards once posted an easy way of how he priced his crafted stuff. Cost of materials times 3. Or something like that.

I didn't turn up house deco craftables when I browsed around. I'll likely price the bulk of it 499 or less to keep the vendor fee at 60. With it being so hard to find, it just may not sell well. I may lose on some of it, but what the heck, I enjoy the crafting. :)

Needless to say, I'm going to be a paranoid puppy stocking these vendors... :eyes: <g> I had a guy try to dirtnap my hide monday night after he followed me through a gate spell to my house. I made it inside.

If it sell to fast, price is to low, If it don't sell, price is to high.
Also keep in mind, Shops near/in zone sell better than shops far away

I used to price some items by wood types and or newness ie expansion levels, thus an older throne chair plain wood may only be 350gp, if in heartwood or frostwood, natch it would be more gp. And the wood hogging furniture with later expansions, like some SA throne might be 500gp, for it in plain, it's more of a wood hog.
I didn't really charge more for a bench be it in wood oak or ash even but frostwood they paid more for same dorky bench. ;)

I used to make everything with items to match, in wood types or colors. Storage chests unless wood hog types be 350 gp to 500 gp if it only took x amt of boards be cheaper, if it hogged more wood even plain it be more. I didnt always go by what the prices of boards were either, per say, more on how simple or annoying something was to make.

As for addons, they varied, I seen small forges go from 45ogp to 1.5k here, even 2k. Large forges were 2k on up to 3.5k even, looms 2k usually give or take 500gp up and down. Really depends on you and your restocking etc. and furniture only sells when folks really need it or are remodeling etc. so I always had other deco stuffs just to keep the vendors in gp all the time, even goza mats sold when someone *needed* em.

As for granite furnitures, GAH pain in arse how they made that even worse, than higher end woods nearly. I used to enjoy making granite furny in ALL granite colors, all sizes each direction, plus matching chairs etc. but yeh good luck getting enough valorite granite rocks to do that or shadow ! :) I sarted those tables of plain at 1k and 1.5k for the larger table, 300 gp or less even for the matching chairs since we got o'd of plain granite. 4-5k for shadow /copper/bronze, then gold agapite be more, with verite valorite more...simply cuz getting enven a good 20 of valorite granite to even do small tables and matching chairs was pain in arse those mighta gone for 7k or 8k depending on how annoying a day it was or more to get enough verite or valorite granite rocks enough to do diddly with.

Good luck with whatever ya try to accomplish and sell though, cuz I always enjoyed making it all for whomever needed it ...whenever they needed any of it all. ;) I just loved carpentry etc. and all the stuffs we could make to furnish everyone's UO homes. So I sold it all whether it moved fast or not, most knew if they needed it sooner or later they knew *Miranda* would have it all whatevers, on her vendors.

Just call ye vendors HOME DEPO and plan accordingly for when they DO need to buy it ...it will be GONE and ya get to restock it all again again. :) Enjoy !

I've played in the crafting corner of this sandbox we live in since starting play back in the fall of 2000. It's what I love doing in this game, my hunting is mainly for resources or an occasional :fight: attitude day. I play in the workshop, I don't run with the wolves. :)

I've got room for 18 vendors set up out front with the left group of eight all going to stock basic normal material house deco items. I'll be adding some plants on a second floor set of vendors once I get the two gardening floors set up and can produce potions in quantity. The right group of ten out front will be a variety of things. I'll likely have my shop in full swing by the end of the year.

I'm going to miss not having my Chessie setup but this is definitely proving fun.

Just so I keep my track shoes on. :p

About granit, I set the price after the demand of the color, so shadow will get same price as valorite.
Right now, I'm to busy to do mining, but if you look at my "Granit Farmer" stall vendor, you will see, what I will pay for granite.
I will not always follow standard prices but set the prices after the demand and the work I put in it. If I can't get a price I can accept, I won't sell the item, nor will I pay more for resources than my Sale Price > Resource Price.

Tanivar hasn't GMed Mining yet but I'll find your vendor. I'll sell you the granite I don't plan on using. For the most part, I only plan on handling plain and shadow stone furniture.

[EDIT] I browsed the bazaar vendors checking prices on materials. I'm going to hang onto the granite I get and store it in case I get a special order. Demand for the stone items may not be great, but the granite is a tad rare.

If you have Rustice and Gothic pack, there is some nice granite items Masonry - UOGuide, the Ultima Online encyclopedia, so all in all, if my granite vendor start to buy stones for me, I may make a vendor with only granite items.
I still hope Devs will add granite benchs.

:) I remember all your vendors and plant vendors on Chessie. :)

I hope you will enjoy Siege as much as I did, when I played here 2004 to last spring.

BTW there were and maybe still are a couple of homes held here on Siege, that Dragon's Watch and a couple of others still hold here on Siege, whom are part of the felucca/ PaxLair alliance on Chessie.
Ask Nanoc, where those few homes are, here on Siege.

And good luck and have fun here on Siege, Tanivar, oh and when St. Dismas comes to kill ya say howdy to him for me and then, take him over to visit the pixies for me, lol they hated him. and if ya shout OSU Buckeyes at him, he may kill ya 2x over. haha
