People who become far to personally involved in this game. People whos lives are run by this game. Which is like 90% of the remaining player base.. everyone else moved on years ago.

Stop being a bunch of negative ******bags and if UO is that horrible and causing you that much of a issue... LEAVE.

bye.

In some ways I agree. I have seen in game drama spill into people's real lives, not just from Ultima Online. Pretty wild, isn't it? However, the majority of players still just want to enjoy the game, I think. They just aren't as vocal.

To the OP:

Is it fair to point out people use the game to let off steam from the hard reality of the real world? That is what the game world is for. To let go of your stressfull life for that brief bit of time and find some enjoyment in UO.
Your mood is bored..... so you come into the forums and figure your gunna start trouble to get a war of words?
Go play something else kiddo. We nether need nor want a rand thread.
UO has seen it all, yes it has players who play for hours and some who pop in for 5 minutes get bored and leave. Those 90% are people who let the ugly bits of life roll off their backs and have fun. UO is FUN. You just have to find your niche in the game, and its aparent you have not found yours. If its too hard for you to find then go play in another game and let the rest of us play in our peace of mind. Thank you kiddo.

If you want to avoid negativity don't come to this forum ....just play UO. Long ago stratics was a place where everyone shared adventures. Now it's a place to gripe about stuff you don't like...of course there is still the extensive knowledge base here but no where near the mood it had before. I think there are a lot of players who are addicted to playing UO. They don't like it but can't quit because of addiction so they come here to gripe about it. As for me I just happy it is still going and I can log on for an hour or so every day and escape from the world into this fantasy world of Sosaria. Whatever problems it has are minor compared to joy I get playing.

You sound like a great example of what you're complaining about. Just your issue is with something a bit different.

it's funny how someone who joined stratics on 05-14-2011 with 18 total posts actually thinks they have any referrence for this game... you must be someone who was banned or laughed out of existence to feel the need to come back and voice your needed opinions. man-the-F-up

I have had 3 accounts on stratics maybe 4 if you count after the more recent change where my earlier post count was dropped. My first account somehow had the same name as another poster so because I had not much to say and this other guy had a lot to say I let him take that name and just read the forum. That was really long ago but he quit posting after a while and then I couldn't post under that name cause I forgot the password and changed my email. My next account I made with a slightly wrong email address and didn't notice it till the present forum was created and I needed to do something, well I couldn't do anything and they sent my temporary password to a wrong email so I just made a new account. But I have posted on stratics long before any expansions happened. And really your Stratics account only relates to stratics and not playing UO. Most UO players don't post on stratics.

I was a Stratics consumer for nearly ten years before joining forums. My wife thinks I've aged nearly ten years since. :D

Just those words alone. Some of us are still invigorated with the game, others are not. I intend to continue to play (part-time of course ^.^) until the last shard gets manually dismantled.

UO is fun for some, old for others. For me, this is THE last vestige of a REAL MMORPG that's left in the world. I love that I can own real estate, interact physically with my environment, solo-content, or run content in a group, solo-PvP/group-PvP.

I have so many options, and I think that burn out for UO occurs when players forget to remember that there's so much with this game they can still do. (And there's so much in this game that has already been done, just as well.)

In the end, what's ruining UO the most are the attitudes that individual players allow to fester inside of themselves, and the disregard that disgruntled players will display before or toward those not of their same mind. :(

This is a big part of it, at least.
