weekly payday in Ealand?

in tc3 we get a weekly payday of 500 bucks not much but better then nothing lol. are we getting that in Ealand as well? if we are none of my sims have gotten a bonus yet, is thier a weekly bonus/payday in Ealand? just curious lol.

Like the answer to many other questions, maybe the answer is in the ATM machine. Im waiting to see how much my sim has to make to cover each months 9.99 And a free 500 simoleons every week would help.

i asked parizad this yesterday and she said we are suppose to get them and that some sims have recieved them. i havent recieved mine as of yesterday either but will log on and check today.

Given the 989 simoleans to dollars exchange rate vis-â-vis a $9.99 monthly fee and 500 simoleans per week stipend...you need to earn about 1971 simoleans per week to break even...


I leave it to others to calculate how many hours of typing that translates to.

Considering that you can't even go to EALaLaLand without killing off one of your existing 3 sims...no, I haven't received anything. But I've already gotten to level four in Pirate of the Burning Sea lol

I have no option for making new sims in EALolLand. Apaprently the only way to get such an option is to open a slot by killing a sim.

And even then, TSO ain't the only game out there, so if you weigh the payoff of "leveling up" in TSO (skills/money) versus the payoff and satisfaction for doing so in other games...why bother?

And sim-moving to EARGHLand with an existing sim isn't a good idea, since you loose your lot.

It's really sad that after years of asking for a unified city they use it as an excuse to wipe our money etcetera. Oh well. Should be used to their EAttitude by now...

Are you using TSO.exe or TSOclient.exe???

I've found that the TSOclient does NOT start you out with the screen where you choose TC3, TC3(test), EALand, The Sims Online

If you are not getting that initial window, chances are that your icon target is TSOclient.exe Try it out with the TSO.exe, which is in your TSO Patch folder

Billy coz is correct, you do not have to delete a sim to go to EAL.

I haven't gotten the bonus either, as far as I know. I wasn't able to log in today before maint ('cause of the Bug). I'm not too worried, I'm sure we'll get it eventually.

And Billy, I didn't have to kill off any sims to create in EAL. Coz is right, you have to use tso.exe, not the TSOClient.exe.

Ahhh, thanks guys...I've got so many darn TSO icons I don't know which one to click lol I'll give that a try...

UPDATE: Well, I just launched tso.exe with the patch. "C:\Program Files\Maxis\The Sims Online\TSOPatch\TSO.exe" -w


It says "Your Sims: Which one do you want to play?" at the top, and has my three production city sims below, with an option to either launch them or pull up their description (and then further options to kill them or move them). The only other option is at the top, "Free Will." Is that the Canadian version of the game? &lt;--- (Obscure Rush Reference)

Now when the app launched, the first thing to do was to check one of the boxes:
* Test Center 3
* Test Center 3-test
---Subscribers Only---
* EA Land (beta)
* EA Land-test
* The Sims Online

These were greyed out:
* EA Land (beta)
* EA Land-test
* Test Center 3-test

So I could only choose from:
* Test Center 3
* The Sims Online

But NOW...I just relaunched it...and have the additional option of:

* EA Land (beta)

No longer greyed out...so let's see if THAT'S what the problem was...



FURTHER UPDATE: Yeah, that was it. I now have a screen with three empty slots. HEY WHAT HAPPEWNED TO MY OTHERE SIMS YOU KILLED THEM I"M GONNA CALL THE ESRB YOU NOOBS KILLED MY SIMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111111111111111!!!!!!!!!!

Might wanna think about noting some of this in the how-to FAQ, as it's not really all that intuitive to relaunch...or come to think of it, you may indeed get folks who then wonder where the other sims are.

And no I will NOT add it to the wiki. I'm a customer, not an employee, with far to many things to do today. This post should suffice, let someone who works for EA/Maxis/Stratics/WikiWikiWikiShutUpWikiWikiWiki do the job &lt;--- (Obscure Newcleus Reference)

I haven't got the second week's payment yet either.

I've entered it as a bug on the wiki today, hopefully it will show up soon, although it says the last time the queue was cleared was back in July, so not sure if that means it will show or not.

If the initial $500 on entering EA Land considered the first weekly basis, and correct me if Im wrong, we are only 13 days old or so, that means the next bonus was due on day 8, so Niki is correct that we should be due a bonus 5 days ago, or have I got it completely wrong??? (remembering that Maths is not my forte in life) LOL

i mentioned this to parizad yesterday in the city hall of ealand and she acted surprised like we all are suppose to get it. she asked if i was the only one but i told her everyone hasnt recieved a bonus yet so the devs are aware of it.
